Where do I begin. It was my 30th birthday celebration and let me tell you this is not the place to celebrate anything. Maybe celebrate being done the meal but that’s about it. 45$ for a cheese plate that had 6 cubes of cheese. Literally, 6 cubes. The waiter was completely done with us once we stated we were not ordering any alcoholic beverages. My boyfriend noted for them to bring a dessert out since it was a special occasion and they absolutely did not do that nor say happy birthday or anything of the sorts. Once our food arrived, the waiter never checked in. Never asked if we needed anything. Never came back. Barely said goodbye and threw the check on our table. What a waste of good money on HORRIFIC service and mediocre overpriced food. They also sat us in the back room next to a trash can. Terrible experience in the city. Have told everyone in Manhattan not to go here, and I suggest you don’t either!

I dined here for lunch on a whim and wish I had visited sooner. Everything was exceptional: the cocktails, the food and service. Our server, Jared, was an absolute pleasure. He was enthusiastic, attentive without being intrusive and made wonderful recommendations for each course. His detailed descriptions did not disappoint and actually exceeded my expectations.
I had the tagliolini (cacio pepe) entree per Jared’s suggestion. Typically, cacio pepe aka tagliolini is just a simple dish but Osteria La Baia’a version topped with truffles was to die for. It was packed with flavor and done to perfection. I also had the octopus appetizer which was tender and delicious as well as the tiramisu for dessert; yet another hit.
I left the restaurant thinking about my next visit.
Great experience!!

A lunch on January 1, 2025 with my daughter in a superb restaurant with a dish (lobster fettuccine) and desserts (chocolate profiteroles and tiramisu) that were more than tasty. The price is worth the food. I highly recommend it.

We had a 7pm show to see and the staff was great with accommodating us. The meatballs and salad were great and the pasta was homemade! If we ordered a main course I’m sure we would’ve received it in time before leaving for the show.

Great atmosphere and efficient service for doing dinner followed by a show in the theater district.

We enjoyed such a fantastic meal tonight, thank you. Everything we ordered was delicious (especially the crème brûlée—talk about “to die for”), but beyond that, the service we received was incredibly warm. Everyone we interacted with on staff was genuinely friendly and extremely competent; it’s rare to find these days, so thank you again for fostering that environment and creating a truly lovely dining experience.

LA BAIA IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN NYC, YOU HAVE NOT BEEN THERE YOU MUST !! Such an amazing beautiful place and if you want to host a business dinner / lunch / event it is one of the best spots for that. I highly recommend making a reservation because it is always busy. The bar is one of the best bars I have ever seen. LA BAIA checks all the boxes including Vibe, Food, Atmosphere You will not regret it. Enjoy !
