I am revising this review to add that my husband and I went there after a very trying and stressful day. We were able to calm down, de-stress and fully enjoyed a very lovely meal. We felt well cared for and were able to have a relaxed comfortable evening. Casual in decor and setting but wonderful upscale dining. Loved it!

Great meal. I'm sorry this place is now closed, but my waiter also overcharged me for the pasta, so there's that...

We were shocked and outraged by the disgraceful treatment we received at Moroni! Our waiter and the host, denied us service after being kindly seated simply because our English wasn't up to his standards. He refused to try to understand us, instead choosing to humiliate us and throw us out like trash while asking the head server to ask us to leave.

The waiter and the hostess’ condescending attitude and blatant discrimination against non-native English speakers is unacceptable. It's clear that Morini prioritizes elitism over customer service and inclusivity. We will never set foot in this establishment again and will make sure to spread the word about the waiter and the hostess appalling behavior.

Shame on rejecting service for a non native speaker.

Food was decent. Place was hot, no AC.

Worst issue was the waitress. Horrible attitude. Horrible service. She came over to the table, didn’t say hello or introduce herself, simply mumbled “still, sparkling, or tap.”

After ordering our drinks she slammed the glass of wine on the table and stormed off.

Rude and grumpy while taking our order.

Never came to check in on us after food arrived.

We had to flag down a busboy to get us cheese and pepper cause she never came back to the table.

Took us awhile to get our check.

The people working here are very rude including the manager/owner. I was forced to move tables under the excuse that the original table was meant to be for three people. Not even 5 minutes later they sat two people at the table even though that’s exactly what I had asked and was told no. A couple minutes later the manager came over to the table next two us and basically started yelling at the man for the way he was sitting.

Used to love coming here for the Monday deal but the service is abhorrent. Host was busy chatting with the young ladies with a smile on his face but when we approached him he felt as if we’d interrupted his fun… did I mention he greeted us with a frown?

Absolutely delicious meals, simply incredible cuisine. All of the dishes we had were truly incredibly tasteful. Wether you are a passerby or a person living in New York you HAVE to try this restaurant.

Our dinner soooo good I’m so happy we went for my birthday. Our server Brahim was attentive and very friendly. We had a meat and cheese board as an appetizer which was 10/10. The parmesan Reggiano and goat milk blue cheese were so good and the meat we chose was very fresh. I had the cappelletti pasta entree which was over the top amazing, never had anything like it, and it came out super hot! My fiancé had the veal, amazing as well and a great portion. I can’t wait to go back here.

On my many visits to Osteria Morini I've always enjoyed the salads and starters, but where this place truly shines is the pastas.

In a city blessed with phenomenal Italian aplenty, Morini easily fits at the upper end of the scale for quality.

A good plan B if you’re in the area without a reservation and craving Italian. It’s way overpriced and the pasta is rolled a little too thin for my taste, but I’ve found myself back here for a few times over the years. Mostly because of the cheese and meat boards. Good, not mind blowing.
