Absolutely amazing deal and delicious fresh oysters and clams. I initially didn’t know what pea crabs are and that they often stay in healthy oysters. It totally scared me the manager reassured me I chatgpt it and looks like they source some very good and healthy oysters. You can’t beat the happy hour price! Lucky for me I live next door.

One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood for afterwork drinks. In a land of sports bars and irish pubs, Ostrica is a great spot for well priced wines, shareable food items, and a good vibe!
Missed out on the Lobster Boil but stayed for the Happy Hour. Enjoyed a dozen oysters, crab dog, lobster roll and a couple Summer Ales.

Such a fabulous addition to the neighborhood! Chic little spot has a fun chill vibe --feel like we're on vacation every time we visit! We enjoy a seat the bar to watch Chef Mike casually whip together the freshest authentic ceviche, lobster rigatoni, crab dogs, and generous cheese plates for us. The staff is super attentive & friendly + playlists are fire, too. Happy spot--truly a fav!!?
got severe food poisoning (2+ weeks) a few weeks back from these large and tasteless oysters. looking at more recent reviews it seems the oysters have had crabs and worms in them too, gross.

BEWARE OF OYSTER HAPPY HOUR We tried this restaurant as we are big oyster lovers, and saw the oyster happy hour advertised online. We were sadly disappointed with the quality of the oysters as 4 of the 12 that we ordered had crabs in them, the oysters were incredibly dirty, and smelled not fresh. We have tried oysters at multiple establishments all over New York City, and have NEVER had crabs in our oysters. We were told that the crabs were a sign of freshness, but would’ve appreciated a warning about this prior to placing an order. The restaurant has a 4.5 rating but after looking into reviews it’s clear that the reviews are being doctored as there are multiple wordless 5 star reviews from accounts with 2 or less reviews. Additionally, the passive aggressive and defensive responses from ownership to negative guest reviews leads us to believe that the negative reviews are telling the truth.

We popped into Ostrica for the happy hour (oysters & beer) after seeing a recommendation on Reddit. No A/C, but we got used to it pretty quickly. Service was attentive. The oysters were pretty big (East Coast only for the happy hour), however were slightly warm. Some bland, some flavourful.
I saw a past complaint on Google Review that a diner had warms on the shells — we did not have that issue.
Verdict: worth visiting for the happy hour, especially if you’re in the neighbourhood. Confirmed with our server it goes 4-8 PM.

Love the deal on the oysters , and they were very tasty !! this is mainly an app place but the seating is super uncomfortable especially the outside seats . And the service is slow when it comes to something as simple as getting more water
Wonderful service from Nick and Sydney! It was just the 2 of them while it was busy both inside and outside and they provided exceptional service with a smile on their face. It was my first time here and Nick provided great recommendations on which oysters to order. So kind and welcoming! They were so attentive and made sure our water was always full even after we paid the check. And the oysters and everything was delicious!! I’ll definitely be coming back!!
