worst service i’ve ever received in my 20 years of living in new york.
The original location has all the charm. Lobster roll was a generous portion and house made chips stole the show.
The lobster roll was amazing!! Great drinks, fantastic service!! And the cherry jubilee.. oh my goodness.. wow!! Actually it was so good we came back the next night!!
Very noisy but nice food
Amazing Steak and Burgers!
We had the Rhode Island Calamari as an appetizer, but I wasn’t impressed - it was quite oily with lots of breading and barely any calamari taste. My dad got Fish & Chips and really enjoyed them. My mom had The Lobster Roll with waffle fries - she also liked her food. (for me these waffle fries were great!) I ordered the New England Clam Chowder soup with Parmesan Truffle Fries - the fries were good, but the soup was just okay and definitely not the best I’ve had.
Overall, it feels like more of a place to enjoy drinks. The food wasn’t bad, but for the price, I’d say there are better options around.
Very authentic atmosphere and food. Service was very good as well.

Whenever I travel to Manhattan one of the days I eat at this place, well attended, well located and they prepare a very good burger.

This old standby is a destination restaurant, and by “this,” I mean the original P.J. Clarke’s at 55th and 3rd in manhattan. Founded in the 1880’s P.J.’s is the quintessential Irish pub. In its long history, it’s been a hangout for celebrities, as well as ordinary folks. Unfortunately it’s gone corporate and eponymous spots have opened in lower manhattan, Vegas, and elsewhere, and with that some of the charm is lost. Stick with the basics….burgers, Mac & cheese, and clams on the half shell, and you can’t go wrong. You’ll know you’ve joined the club once you don’t have to ask where the onion is when your burger arrives.

The best meal we had in NYC, and no queues / not hard to get a table!! The burger was one of the best we’ve ever had. Our only regret is not going again!
