I've had years of experience, so I feel qualified (and even justified) in offering a review of the differences between ordering a burger and beer at PJC's Third Ave and WTC.

Third Ave: Order your burger and beer and enjoy.

WTC: Start your order and immediately be interrupted to be asked for a card -- "I can't take your oder without a card." It's like when call a credit-card issuer or insurer and the rep ask, "How may I help you?" and then as soon as you begin the rep stops you and asks for all the ID you already provided to the AI.

Anyway, next step is to restart/resume your order.

Then, when your burger comes, ask the waiter for the condiment (mayo, not ketchup) that you didn't receive because the kitchen didn't bother to read the whole ticket. And ask for the topping you didn't receive and remove the one you didn't ask for, because the kitchen didn't bother to read the ticket. Etc.

So somewhere after your burger is already going cold you'll have all that you asked for, except a hot burger. But at least they've already run your card.

It's this way every time.

WTC is an office worker/tourist letdown.

Every time.

PJ Clarke's is an excellent restaurant in New York, ideal for enjoying a tasty meal in a cozy atmosphere with classic charm. The dishes are well prepared and full of flavor, highlighting the quality of the ingredients.

The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even more pleasant. A perfect place to enjoy good food and exceptional service. Highly recommended.

We work in the building and although this Pj’s is a neighborhood gem, we have had some disappointing experiences here lately.
When dining at lunch with clients, we were brought the entirely wrong sandwich, and were told “that’s what you ordered” (my client ate it anyway as not to have to wait)
Yesterday we placed a takeout order, and not only were the chicken sandwiches subpar, but the chicken Caesar salad was really sad for $36. We probably won’t order takeout from here anymore as it was still over $200 and nobody enjoyed their lunch. I cannot stress enough.. stick to the burgers and eat them in, not takeout, as they are always delicious.

We had a great time at this place. Nice outdoor view of the hudson. I wish they have more choices in the menu. I noticed theyre mostly sandwiches. I wasnt satisfied with my chicken sandwich. I was really hungry i wanted something heavy and i didnt see anything that would serve my crave. But we had good service by ,berke. Nice guy. Love the ambiance of this place.

I was here with a friend for Thanksgiving dinner (2024), and unfortunately what I ordered turned out to be one of the worst meals I've ever had in 14 years of living in NY. Maybe it's my fault for choosing something other than the turkey prix fixe (which my friend seemed to like well enough), but the prime rib "upgrade" (for an extra $10) was shockingly bad. I've had tough pieces of beef before, but this was on a whole different level; super leathery and almost impossible to chew. More than just overcooked, my guess is that the meat had also been sitting around for quite a while before a guy like me came along and made the mistake of ordering "prime rib" on a day when most folks were probably getting the turkey (with much higher turnover). In case you're wondering, I put "prime rib" in quotes because I'm almost certain that what I received (see photo) was NOT the "Queen Cut Prime Rib" that was printed on their menu. I've had plenty of prime rib at other places, and this piece of meat was something totally different. (If I had to guess, it looks like they served me a NY strip instead of the advertised prime rib. If you don't have queen cut prime rib, just let the customer know and give them an option to order something different.) Although the service was great, the virtually inedible "prime rib" made the overall experience a huge letdown. What made this even more disappointing is the fact that I've actually eaten here before and liked it enough to think it'd be a solid choice for Thanksgiving. I was obviously wrong.

Came in at around 2pm to get a quick bite. Ordered shrimp cocktail and clam chowder that were okay. Fish and chips took 50 minutes (waiter entered order at 2:25 and I didn't get the food until 3:10 after I've asked) before the waiter decided to serve it to me. Fries and fish were cold!

Beautiful place, great and relaxing location. The service was awesome! The food however lacks flavor. My friend ordered fish and chips and I ordered the lobster roll. Both dishes were tasteless and bland. The appetizers were really delicious. We ordered steak egg roll, and shrimp Cocktail.
