Though basically a chain restaurant at this point the food is pretty good. Fish and chips nicely prepared. Good winter salad. It is a decent option near Lincoln Center. Service is excellent. Warm atmosphere. Not too pricey

We were seated for 15 minutes and nobody came to our table. We called different waiters and when one finally stopped by, he unfortunately had an attitude. We said we were ready to order and asked if he could please give us some water, and he served the water with an attitude and left right away without even taking our order. We left right after. Begging for service is not part of the service industry. I know some nights can be busy, I was a waitress myself, but this is no way of treating people. We go to the Lincoln Center all the time, but I don’t think we’ll be coming back. Prices are high for such a bad service. Other restaurants in the area are better, and have a friendly staff.

Friendly service and good food! You can actually have a conversation with your friends unlike other bars and restaurants.

I've been to P.J. Clarke's Lincoln SQ location a few times over the years and have always had an enjoyable experience. On my last lunch visit in August, I ordered coffee as a beverage. My server gladly offered refills, even removing half finished cups and supplying a new cup. Upon getting the bill and to my surprise, I was charged $4 for each refill. Man, was I annoyed! Not only that, the coffee was only so-so.
I couldn't let my annoyance show without spoiling an otherwise pleasant meal with my lunch companions. I hate to complain as it could be considered petty. It just rubbed me the wrong way.

We were greeted by the host with a smile on her face and brought us to our table. Not too long after we were also greeted by our waiter, who provided us with the menu and gave us a little time before coming back to take out order. Once our waiter had returned to take out order, the look on his face seemed displeased and didn’t want to care much. The look on his face gave me the impression of “hurry up and order.” Every waiter that brought us either our drinks or food were super polite and kind. We ordered almost $200 worth of food plus drinks and it was just my wife and I. As I was observing our waiter going around his other tables, he was making small talks, laughing, making jokes however, when he returned back to my table, he had an angry look on his face as if he didn’t want to serve us. I am not sure if he had anything against Asians, but all the people who were dinning were definitely not Asian race. I had told our waiter to tone it down with his attitude, and he even apologized. Given that, it means he was giving us an attitude throughout the entire dinner service.

Got lucky to get a table at the window so we got to eat while people watching the city activity outside. Food was good with attentive staff. Lobster roll was delicious, toasted bread and big lobster chunks.

I think it’s the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever tasted. I’ve come back for it regularly. Also try the wings, the burgers. I love this place. NYC classic.

Wow, wow! What a magical dining experience. I can’t thank Angie, Theo and Wale enough for their kindness, service and going above and beyond to make our family dinner so special. The food was delicious but the service and attention to detail made this a special night. It felt like a family gathering all around. Thank you!

Excellent experience at PJ Clarke’s. Our server, Shannah, was super kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I’d definitely come back just for her great service!

I had a terrible experience with this restaurant yesterday. We had a 5:45pm reservation and watched them seat walk-ins ahead of us. We were continuously told just a couple of minutes for our table and ended up being over 25mins before we were seated. And then, despite telling our server that we were ready to order as we had an event to attend quickly after, we hadn't even been served water before deciding we had to leave. Seems like a normal occurrence as we never got even an apology.

EDIT: I emailed them as they requested below and they didn't even reply..

I've been coming here for years, and my recent experience makes me think this place has gone downhill. The waiter messed up our order, made it "right" then charged us 2x for the item. When questioned about it, he disappeared and we waited for 20+ minutes until we just gave up. Not worth the time to argue over $12. Also not worth going back, given the circumstances.
