I’ve had gelato in Rome and Tuscany. This was better. Outstanding flavors and quality — kudos to the creators of this dessert accomplishment. Perfect after dinner chocolate gelato. Had pair + chocolate ?

RATING: 8.8/10 PRO TIP: Get their pistachio. This place also is associated with the newly opened Travelers, Poets and Friends, the non-meat Italian market and restaurant. PISTACHIO GELATO - this was absolutely delicious, and the gelato lady told me that their pistachio packs a real punch -- I have to agree. This is the most heavyhanded pistachio gelato I've ever had. Super concentrated flavor and really delicious. Smooth, a little dense in texture, and def worth a revisit. NOCCIOLA - their hazelnut was quite delicious, too, and had the same amazing texture as the first. Compared to other gelatos, I would say theirs is denser/stretchy, and oh so satisfying. I also learned that the most authentic gelato would melt if placed in a mountain on display, like you see in little italy. "Real" gelato is found in metal tubs that the scoops are dug out from, just as it is in this place. Def would come back CATEGORY: EXCELLENT (terrible / bad / ok / good / great / EXCELLENT)

Pleasantly surprised with the gelato. Not too sweet, creative flavours and good portions.

Best hazelnut gelato I’ve ever had! I usually don’t go for this flavor, but it was the best one of all that I tasted. It tasted exactly like a Ferrero Rocher and the hazelnuts in it added the perfect crunch. And most importantly, not too sweet! This place deserves more attention. The staff was patient and polite in allowing us to sample the various flavors.Truly authentic because the staff seem to be straight from Italy!Sadly didn’t get to try their pistachio because they sold out but I will be back!

HOT CHOCOLATE REVIEW ONLY: I came here on a weekday night and ordered the regular hot chocolate. I had heard a good review about it and I was genuinely curious to try it myself. Have you ever drank a perfectly thick and perfectly sweet and yet tart hot chocolate? This is IT! Each sip was like drinking a decadent piece of chocolate! I couldn't decide the whole time if I wanted to pace myself or drink some first then save the rest for later (I went with the latter). The hot chocolate only cost $6.53, so you can bet that I'll be back!! Also I'll definitely be back in the summer to try their gelato!!

This place is incredible! First, let’s start with the ambience. They took over the space of a really boring gift shop and somehow transformed it to an Italian paradise. Incredible lamps hanging from the ceiling that must be imported from italy . Adorable decor. Not only is the space lovely but the people working there are so nice! They have so many unusual flavors and the server didn’t mind that I chose to try 3. Each flavor better than the last. Apple and Rosemary was one of the best! I also loved the tomato and olive oil but I settled for a more classic pistachio and was definitely not disappointed. Having tried gelato in at least 100 gelaterias jn italy I can attest this is one of the best I have ever been to. In a city filled with chain, mass produced gelato this homemade, unique shop is incredible. Wow.

This felt like stepping into a gelateria in Italy. Nico was friendly and recommended flavors as well as let me taste a few flavors I was curious about. I also tried the hot chocolate which is deliciously rich and like drinking a melted chocolate bar. The chocolate and pear gelato together are a must try! I’ll be back.
