I order two pizza to go at this restaurant, went I got there to retrieve my order I was on a business call so I stayed a side of the door entrance I was about to conclude my call wen I got approach by a gentleman in a suit inquiring whom I was not in the friendliest way, like a person does not have the right to stand on the side walk in free America, I then introduced my self and business at that place to pick up my order and started by saying good evening and welcome to osteria paolas how may I assist you, as a way to maybe train a little bit that manager or supervisor on how hospitality should be practiced., I guess he felt called by a man of color with probably less academic achievements but certainly more education as for then the reaction was to said I was on the phone and to hold my previously paid order and with rudeness suggest if I still wanted my food like implying other wise, Shut and go, I can only hope for this person to find kindness and learn he’s on the HOSPITALITY business rude approach towards a person specially a customer it’s not the way.

As I’m walking up to the restaurant a male server with short brown hair sees me. I smile at him and say hello he ignores me and then warmly tells another Patron who is leaving goodbye he then cuts me off as I’m trying to enter the restaurant. Very disappointed because the food looked so good but I immediately left after that extremely rude and unprofessional encounter.

Paola’s Osteria in NYC is Italian dining at its finest. Their specialty, the Capricciosa pizza, is pure perfection — layered with tender prosciutto cotto, artichokes, mushrooms, and olives on a beautifully charred Neapolitan crust. The flavors are balanced, authentic, and deeply satisfying — exactly what a true Capricciosa should be.

The Margherita was equally divine, letting the fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil shine in simplicity. Dessert was the sweetest finale: creamy pistachio and vanilla gelati paired with a light, luscious tiramisù topped with chocolate and fresh mint. With crisp Lurisia sparkling water to complement the meal, the experience felt like dining in Naples without leaving NYC.

Paola’s Osteria is a true gem — the Capricciosa with prosciutto cotto is worth the trip alone, but the entire menu earns a well-deserved five stars.

Lovely food, good service, servers were very attentive to our water and drink refills. Menu was on the pricier side but we left feeling like it was worth it. Place got quite busy just as we left at about 6 on a Monday

Bread and olive oil were great, pizza was hot and tasty. We got the truffle pizza and it was truffle powder - would get a different one. Caesar salad was the only gripe - for $20 it was a side salad size, and not very good. The Italian bottled beer was great!

Food was great however the waiter with an Italian accent kept almost 60 change without agreement and sent another waiter to return the change what appeared to be few singles! Rushed to place an order and rude behavior

Cute little Italian restaurant near the Guggenheim Museum, with very kind and welcoming staff. The cacio e pepe is good, well-cooked, and with a creamy sauce, and the margherita pizza is also good. Recommended for lunch.
