Local Manhattan diners, we have never experienced such a loud and inconsiderate environment. The restaurant permitted a family with young children to literally take over the right side of the dining room. The kids screamed, jumped on and off table, the seats and more. All surrounding diners were greatly disturbed. When reported, the restaurant took zero action to try and alleviate the situation. As a parent, I understand dining with children and am compassionate but this was obnoxious, rude and inconsiderate. Our entire meal was not pleasant. Additionally, the service was very slow with 2 people working the dining area. First review I have ever written with this level of frustration.

The decorations and ambiance are so fun!!! The food was great. The restaurant was really warm and the service was fair. We will definitely give it a try when the decorate for Christmas !

This place is advertised heavily for its holiday themed decorations which are spectacular. And it is family friendly, but the servers I guess where in change of mid shift and it took 20-30 minutes to just get our bill and that was after we had already finished eating. I perhaps expected a more energetic ambiance because of its social media propaganda, but it's really not energetic at all. Just a calm environment to eat at with spectacular decorations. I went on a Saturday late afternoon. The food was really good though, drinks were ok.

I went to Papillon NYC and wow… first of all, skeletons everywhere because it’s full-on Halloween vibes and I was obsessed. 🦴🎃 The place is so cute, Parisian-inspired but with this spooky twist that makes it so fun.
And the food? Legit amazing. I had a Croque Monsieur and it was EVERYTHING, super buttery, cheesy, and just so comforting. 🥖🧀 Honestly, I loved every bite. Between the skeletons and the Parisian vibes, it was such a cool experience, like a little escape from the city without even leaving Manhattan.
If you’re looking for a spot that’s fun, festive, and has amazing food, this is it. Papillon really nailed that mix of Halloween energy + French bistro charm. 🦋✨

Upstairs was so loud we could hardly hear each other at a table that was the furthest away from the bar!! I asked staff passing by that we were ready for the check, but no one ever came. I had to get out of my seat and find yet another person to get the check!! Drinks were good and food okay. What was described as a mushroom risotto croquette was more like a rice ball. Steak sandwich and salad were as described. Menu print was so small that it couldn't be read in light provided. Halloween decorations were outstanding but the noise was just too much.
