If you're looking for a party and not a dinner this place is for you. The restaurant ran out of lobster, calamari, fries and more all before 8pm. Service was subpar. I will not be returning.

Absolutely amazing. I had a great time, didn't really know what to expect but the atmosphere was electric and the food was amazing. Staff was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!!!

They kept being out of things on the menu, ultimately ended with a plate that was very bad poorly made. Ive had greek food and i love it, they did not succeed in that area. The waiter was rushing us to order, we understood to a degree he wanted the food to not come out when the lady was dancing maybe, ordered the signature drink he did not let us know the eye for the photos were not “in stock” being we ordered the drink for that purpose. At some point our table was a mess for about an hour no one came by to clear it. Then it was empty for another 45 minutes only water, he would pass by and did not even asked if we wanted drinks or anything, it was my birthday i wanted to celebrate but did not get to do it at this place. I also had to ask for my own birthday cake despite adding the note at RSVP. He lasted another 30 minutes after asking for the check so we can leave because all we had was water. $500 bill and the only thing we enjoyed was the music and dancer. OH BTW HE WAS THE ONLY WAITER. Not blaming him, but maybe the higher up resturant staff for poor planning leading to poor service. The dancer was the highlight and the guy who appeared to be the promoter with the “bottles?” Jacket on was very kind and mindful, he also set the party vibe in a respectful manner. STILL WOULD NOT RETURN.

Disappointed Birthday Dinner at Papa's NYC I had high hopes for Papa's in New York City, especially after booking a reservation three months in advance to celebrate my 40th birthday. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. We had an 8:30 PM reservation, but we didn't get seated or served dinner until 9 PM. While the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous—a beautifully designed space with a lively, party-focused Greek vibe—the service and dining experience were extremely disappointing. Let's start with the positives: •The vibe was great if you're looking for a loud, high-energy atmosphere with a DJ and party crowd. •The interior is stunning and definitely Instagram-worthy. Now the downsides: •Our server, Jurgen, was rude and dismissive throughout the night. •Drinks took an unusually long time to arrive. •Appetizers came out at staggered times, not all together, and we had to ask multiple times for missing items like pita bread. •For the entrées, 2 out of our party of 8 never received their meals, and when we asked about it, the server claimed it was the kitchen's fault and offered no resolution. •We asked for a manager, who did apologize but didn't make any effort to fix the issue or improve the experience. •No dessert menu was offered—in fact, we felt rushed to finish, and the server never came back after dropping the check. •At no point was there any real apology or acknowledgment that things had gone wrong on a special night. Bottom line: If you're looking for a club-like atmosphere with great music and vibes, this place might be for you. But do not come expecting a quality dinner or good service. If I could do it over, I'd eat somewhere else and just come here for drinks and the scene—not a sit-down meal, and definitely not for a celebration.

I went for my sister's birthday and it was a disappointing dinner experience. Nice ambiance, entertainment was fun, and good drinks. However, Service was very slow and food took over an hour to be served. They ran out of salmon on a Saturday evening! We initially asked for a greek salad and was told they ran out of that as well. We did get it later on during the extensive wait for the main course. On arrival, my chicken souvlaki meal was undercooked and lacked flavor. The Lobster pasta dish was a large portion with no lobster. I am fine with City pricing but what we paid was not worth it for the lack of quality and service. Pappas needs to decide if they want to be a night club or provide fine dining. They are not meeting the standard when it come to dining. We bought a cake for dessert but took it to go. I would not recommend or visit again.

Service was horrible, waiter was rude, didn't come up also for a long time. When I said why didn't you come up , he was not friendly. Said “ is it me that is rude or you ?” , wasn't accommodative and attentive. I would not recommend this place...

I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Pappas. The atmosphere is loud, high-energy, and definitely keeps the party going. The highlight of the night was hands down the music and entertainment — they really know how to create a fun, lively vibe. The drinks were also a hit, especially the one with the evil eye floating in it — super cool and unique. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the food. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely didn't match the level of the ambiance and entertainment. A little improvement in food quality would really take the whole experience to the next level. Overall, I'd rate this a great experience and would recommend it for a fun night out.

Amazing! From the moment we entered to the time we left. Perfect night. Fun - exciting - food and service were excellent! A definite must do for all!

Had my birthday dinner here a couple of weeks ago for 6. We were late and they still accommodated us. The food was amazing and came out in good time. The vibes all I can say is 100/10!!!

My friends and I had a really good experience here. It was really overpriced, typically NYC. Staff was great, overall I would come back for an event, but never for a casual dinner night.

We didn't know anything about Pappas in advance but it came up with solid ratings when we searched OpenTable for a place to eat after seeing a play at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Unfortunately, a disappointing experience. After I was told I could not substitute a side I'm not supposed to eat that came with my preferred menu item for one that I can, even though they were priced the same in the sides portion of the menu ("you can only add on"), I ordered tuna instead. It was overcooked and extremely tough. My food rating would have been poor if it had not been for some solid meatballs my wife ordered. Given the hour, the restaurant had very few people in it. Despite this, our waiter didn't come back to the table after the food was served. We finished our entrees and wanted to leave. After a long wait, I got up and went to find him. He was chatting with colleagues at the end of the bar. Finally, the music was unnecessarily loud. We won't be going back.

This was an amazinggggg restaurant, the workers/staff were exceptional! They were on top of everything we needed and wanted, and made sure we had a great time. Definitely a place to celebrate a birthday or any event.

Wait staff sucked. Never once came to ask if everything was okay or if I needed a refill on my drink. The nerve they have to charge automatic 20% tip for horrible service. I waited 40 minutes for the check

We booked Pappas for my daughter's 16th birthday celebration and it was an experience. The ambience was beautiful, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the vibes were birthday worth. She had an amazing time!

First time here had a great overall experience. The food was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff was welcoming and interactive. I would definitely go again.
