I got a massive sandwich with egg, potato, prosciutto, and mozzarella. Truly incredible flavor! Subway wishes they could make sandwiches this good

A bakery with history of serving lower Manhattan for over a hundred years. The bread is fresh and very tasty. The sandwich menu offers a variety of quality ingredients that hit the spot. Every time!

Stumbled across this place and I’m so glad I found it! This was my last meal before catching my flight back home and it was amazing! I ordered the number 2 on a roll and it was huge. Delicious sandwiches!

Went on Tuesday 8/26 during their business hours intending to grab a sandwich for lunch, only to realize they weren’t open without any explanation or notice. Way to respect your customers. Will not return.

Made a special trip out only to find they’re closed today. Website, google, and yelp all said they’re open. Would be respectful to at least post something somewhere to give people a head’s up.

It says that it’s opened even though its closed and we also saw other people come and to see it closed they were really disappointed!

Walked by today and knew the historic name.
Went in and saw the egg & peppers on the menu. One of the best egg sandwiches NYC has to offer! Very big, at least 3/4 eggs, peppers were well cooked, roll was excellent.
Terrific value for the cost!
Everyone should try this place!

Get the Dennis. One of the best sandwiches in town. They may be cash only but you can order online.

Took my family of six to New York and we were looking for somewhat affordable meals. Splitting a sandwich here seemed reasonable. What I didn’t expect is for this to be one of, if not all my kids favorite meals in New York. The sandwiches and cheeses were cut and made as you waited. The meat was very generous and amazing- we shared the Dennis, an Italian, and turkey sub. It filled us up and we loved all of them. My kids kept asking to go back again and again.

The only criticism is that there is no seating. We found a nice little playground- DaSilva around the corner- had many benches and some picnic tables. I highly recommend this for amazing, generous sandwiches.

Deli with delicious big sandwiches. We shared a hero. The #4 was delicious. Make sure you grab a cold drink from them as the sandwiches can be salty. You can sit in the park close by and enjoy your fresh sandwich. Yum

$17 for a big sandwich is a steal in NYC

place looks rundown but i guess that's the charm

almost slipped and died when walking out, the sloped entrance does not handle rain well

It was fine for one time but $18 sandwich felt expensive. It was good though but it’s a sandwich

I ended up in Soho looking for some good deli places and after a quick Google search, I ended up here! It’s definitely more of a deli place than a bakery, however, their subs are so delicious!

I ordered the Classic Italian and the Dennis with Roasted Peppers and they did not disappoint. I picked the large size (hero) and my family and I were unable to finish the whole thing!

I waited in line for about 10mins as they usually make their orders one by one in front of you before serving the next customer.

For seating, there is a small bench right outside the shop.

Overall, wonderful experience!
