They emailed me the night before leaving for my weeklong stay here that the AC in park-facing views for which I’d obviously paid extra was not working. There is no coffee available in the room or in the lobby or via room service. And now there is construction noise that they can’t appear to stop. We adopted 1 hotel across the street for coffee. It’s a lovely boutique hotel with excellent coffee. Worth checking out. As to the park lane, you might wait till construction is complete.
Unbeatable location for significantly less than the nicer properties on same street. Bathrooms are pedestrian and rooms could use update but as is, it’s worth every penny for location. Spend a couple extra bucks and get a higher floor. View of Central Park is great but we stayed much higher floor last time and it’s an even more impressive view ten floors higher
We stayed here a few years ago and it was great. Got promo email offering good rate. We stayed June 4-6. They are not ready for guests! They said that the lobby and rooms were being renovated on website but nothing about no bar, no coffee, no food service. Rooms had few necessities like bar soap or vanity kit. Several other issues. Positive was the staff. Very friendly and accommodating to the extent they could be.
View and food espectacular. Love it
Our room, 2001, has serious water damage in the corner by the window. The entire carpet corner is saturated in water. They would not put us in another room. They came and put towels over it and a fan down so now I have no chair for the view. There is NO night light for bathroom, just a huge bright light so when u go to the bathroom in the night or morning your eyes hurt. These rooms are seriously outdated. The room, decor, carpet, lights are old, like from the 80's. Of all the hotels I've stayed at on this strip, this is the worst. No restaurant or bar, no room service.
The hotel staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. They did a great job adhering to covid protocol. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the park views were amazing. Overall a great experience.
We really enjoyed our recent weekend stay at the Park Lane Hotel. Fantastic location, spacious rooms, clean, and friendly staff. I think it is a great value for the money. Yes, it is like a 3 star hotel, but it is also a much lower price for a room with a Central Park view than neighboring hotels like the Ritz or JW Marriott. If you want the five star experience, you have to pay for it. It is an old building straight out of the 1970's. The hallways reminded me of a scene in Taxi Driver. However, they are completely remodeling the place now. One reason I wanted to write this review is that I almost canceled our reservation after seeing other recent reviews on this website. My wife had booked it, because she stayed there before. She said it would be fine and it was. So I just wanted to say we had a terrific experience. We will most likely stay there again if we go back to NYC.
There are so many better options for the price in NYC. We stayed for the weekend and both agreed that the hotel does a poor job caring for its guests while charging top end rates for dirty, worn rooms. Location is great though! First, there is no baggage holding facilities. We had a flight out later in the day. When we asked if they could hold our luggage while we went out in the city, the response was that they could not due to COVID regulations. When asking for suggestions, the lady at the front desk just shrugged her shoulders. As a hospitality based business, this is something that needs to be provided. As a point of reference, we met other travelers who’s hotels were happy to hold their bags for them. The rooms are pretty good sized for New York, and in our opinion were decorated fairly well. But handles were broken off the drawers, the bed was terribly uncomfortable with firm ruts on either side of the mattress from so many years of use, and absolutely no amenities in the rooms. The carpet was worn and dirty, leaving a slippery sheen on your feet if you walked on the carpet after your shower. No coffee machine, thin towels with holes, and even no plastic disposable cups to use when getting some water. No concierge, no bellman, no help with reservations, no valet, no luggage holding, no restaurant, no bar, no gym, and no AC in our room. Why would you ever choose to stay here?
Wonderful view of Central Park from my room, and Nicole was absolutely wonderful at check-in. I arrived much later than expected and she was extremely helpful and the hospitality was heartwarming, particularly in the face of a pandemic. Very much appreciated the room upgrade to one with a view overlooking the Park!
Just the view of Central Park was breathtaking

Excellent service
Beautiful space for an afternoon brunch. They just started jazz weekend brunch try and go if you can. Great view to have a coffee or mimosa over.
Stayed at the Park Lane Hotel and needed to have a quick lunch before a 2:00 matinee. The Park Room at the hotel was what we needed. Great service by 3 different servers. Turkey Club and Cheeseburger were both good. Room was nice and bright, good window views. Drinks and food were very expensive but we are in New York
Beautiful view overlooking Central Park south. choice of a pricey Buffett or some nice ala Carte options. The eggs Benedict was very good. Good service although our waiter required repeated requests because he did not appear to hear well. Fairly quick service and pleasant atmosphere.
We visit NYC every Christmas & we‘ve had breakfast here the past two years. Food is great & plentiful, view of the park is stunning, and the service is awesome! I must mention, Sam, the best server ever! He’s been there both years and has the sweetest personality!
