I stopped by Pastai last minute just as they were about to close — after another restaurant had shut down early for the night — and they still welcomed me in with a smile. The staff didn’t rush me at all, and my server was incredibly attentive, offering great recommendations that turned out to be delicious. The atmosphere was cozy, the food was exceptional, and the service truly went above and beyond. A delightful experience from start to finish — thank you for saving my night!

Favorite neighborhood spot in Chelsea. Everything on the menu is consistently delicious! So many Italian restaurants in NYC are overhyped and hidden gems like this are overlooked but it’s definitely worth going to.
Service and atmosphere was up to standard for a place like this. The lobster pasta was good as well, but nothing special or deserving of 5 stars. Maybe other dishes are, but that’s all I tried during restaurant week.

Server understood the assignment. Got the drink, then food, then we VIBED!!!! He was as SOOOO sweet, I’m pretty sure he’s the owner of the place. I came here two years ago and it is the same way as it was. I can’t wait to come back the next time I visit New York!!!!

We booked the chef's table and loved every minute of it. What a great little spot for dinner. The Italian chefs Luigi & Ricardo were very interesting and we had fun talking to them. The food was delicious, as was the wine. Highly recommend this spot in Amsterdam!
I would not recommend eating here if you have a food allergy. I ordered a panini from the menu that did not list pesto as an ingredient but then came with pesto. When I asked if there was pesto on the sandwich, the waiter yelled at me and told me it was my fault because I didn't tell him. They then scraped off the pesto (which they never confirmed had nuts) and reserved the exact same sandwich on different bread. SO many other restaurants in the area deal with allergies better, spare yourself the headache and skip this one!

This is a must when in Amsterdam, meal sized just right. The spaghetti was amazing!
Do NOT go here. My friend and I were having dinner last night when a cockroach FELL from the ceiling into her hair. She brushed it off and panicked and we called over staff and they killed it and pretended nothing happened. Didn’t even apologize! Didn’t comp anything. Handled it very poorly.
This spot was so cute when I found it. I am sad to write this but half way through appetizers a cockroach fell on my head from the ceiling… The waiter killed it and cleaned it up but didn’t really apologize and nothing was comped or anything at the end of the meal. I wish it was a different experience but it wasn’t. Food was good.
Cute restaurant with great food and quick service. The atmosphere was really nice with mellow lighting.
I got the paccheri alla genovese which was excellent! We also got the sfinci di ricotta (3 small fried donuts) and the tiramisu for dessert which both were so good.
Overall, super pleased that we stopped in here tonight. Highly recommend.
