Liked their pastrami more than 2nd Avenue Deli. Not quite Carnegie Deli but that's not around anymore. Still, very good!

Nothing open on Xmas Day except Kosher/Jewish fare. Ordered a pastrami w/fried onions and a chopped liver. Everything solid.

I grew up eating in kosher delicatessens eating pastrami on the fatty side with gribenes so you have to understand where I come from. After driving to NYC and being quite disappointed with a stop at a well-know deli outside of NYC, I was searching for a pastrami sandwich. My usual in the past was the Carnegie or Katz's and a long time ago The Crown. The Pastrami Queen was suggested by a local friend and on our last day we went quite out of our way to sample their food. The restaurant is small but we were able to snag a table for two and get it cleaned. The server was very busy but also very nice. The Pastrami sandwich was as good as it gets even if he forgot to add the fried onions (a substitute for gribenes). Too bad they don't Dr.Brown's Celray tonic but we had to do without. I will return.

$22 Pastrami sandwich was small and full of fat,……like the end part of the meat. Miss Arties on the upper West Side who used to serve the table a bowl of cole slaw and a big bowl of pickles.

I attempted to order chicken soup last weekend. The description sounded delicious and listed hearty broth, chicken pieces, noodles, and fresh vegetables. And I was looking forward to reliving all the years of memories of soup I have on holidays and other occasions when the air gets chilly. And then it happened! The counter person said, “I wanted to let you know there is no chicken in the chicken soup.”Now keep in mind this is a $10 soup in NYC.He then proactively said, “ yes, sometimes people send it back when they see there is no chicken in it, so I wanted to let you know.”I said, “why is there no chicken in the chicken soup?”He couldn’t answer. He didn’t make the soup or the decision. He was just doing his job.And then I began to imagine the trail of stupidity that led to this decision.Without making assumptions about who, how, and why there is no chicken in the chicken soup, I will highlight the power of expectations and reality.Expectations inform worldviews of your customers. And if your customers are people who have had chicken soup dozens of times a year for, say, 40 years, a worldview has undoubtedly been formed. There is absolutely no good reason to make your default chicken soup not have chicken in it, especially when there is a posted menu that says it includes chicken if you desire to attract and retain customers. If your chicken soup doesn’t have chicken in it, what other shortcuts are you taking?

I love corned beef and have visited some of the best in NYC & Cleveland, OH.This place doesn't look like much, but the corned beef sandwich is one of the best I ever had! Highly recommended!

We always visit this place when in NYC. We order the famous pastrami sandwitch that costs 22 USD. Believe me it worths it. Take your sandwitch and enjoy it in Central park. We will come back for sure

We go to pastrami queen every time we go to the city. After this visit, we decided we didn’t need to rush back again unless you have a craving for a pastrami sandwich. The pastrami is delicious! The hamburgers were not good at all. They had zero taste. The matzah ball soup was really good too.

This place has an amazing Pastrami!! Do yourself a favor and do not eat it there…. Just as for takeout and go eat it elsewhere… this Pastrami is cut thicker than your usual sandwich, but trust me, it gives it a very deep flavor that lingers in your mouth very nicely!! Our service when we ordered was good and the place has usual lines of people… I will come back and order here!!! Cheers

Don’t order delivery. Nasty people on the phone who forget about you and leave you hanging for a good hour.

Fantastic! The pastrami was absolutely incredible- best I have had. Bread underwhelming but more than made up by the meat

Genuine old school Jewish deli. On par with Katz’s but (in my opinion) a better table service experience. The locals eat here and you dont get stuck behind some tourist okie from miskokie trying to figure out what pastrami is and how to order it. Excellent mushroom barley soup. Pickles were a little too new for me and the rye a little too fluffy and not enough seeds. Overall a better choice than Katz’s unless you need the absolute original and are very patient & willing to put up with the out of towners, wait in line and remember the old days before the lower east side landed on the tourist map

Fantastic food. It's not the most visually appealing place, but the food stands on its own (except for the corned beef, which was just fine). The pastrami and brisket are great, and the prices are way better than most delis in NYC.
