Great food, waitress seemed a little angry. Also Leo some soups were not available Thete were plenty of unusual sandwiches and salads. The place specializes in artisan bread.

Phenomenal service, kind and attentive. Food is fantastic as always. A little small but seating is available if it's not too busy.

Terrible service. Left a coffee off the order despite discussing the various options of milk etc. Don't have half and half despite being very expensive. The cheese in the Melted Cow not very melted. Slow service. Very disappointed.

Beautiful decor. Delicious food. Friendly staff. It feels as if you've stepped away from Manhattan and entered somewhere in Europe. I love this place

Warm, bright spot for coffee, tea, snack, or lunch. Nice spot to meet up with a friend. Lots of tempting baked goods as well as a menu full of salads and sandwiches, vegetable some tasty and vegetarian options. The salad bar selections are pretty great and include lots of grains and beans and other proteins as well. I will for sure return here when I have a pleasant hour of solitary time to kill.Vegetarian options: I really liked that they had quinoa on the salad bar. Also sweet potatoes and many other tasty items.

The place is nice, but arm yourself with patience before talking to the waitress. I've never seen someone that rude...

Patis is the best! Love the food but feel sorry they changed the menu. What happened to those delicious salads? Bring them back! Only dish I had that I didn’t like was the home fries. Everything else is great!!! The manager Diamond is so accomodating! Keep up the good work!Vegetarian options: Fantastic dairy options and plenty of veggies!

I recently dined at Patis on Amsterdam and wanted to share my experience, which left me quite disappointed. Despite ordering a sandwich, a soup, and a coffee, I encountered an unusual policy regarding water service that I found disheartening. When I requested tap water due to not feeling well, I was informed by the cashier that tap water wasn't provided and I had to purchase a bottle. While I understand policies may vary, it was disconcerting not to be served water alongside a paid meal. I questioned this practice, as I believe it's a basic expectation for customers. To add to the disappointment, I later asked for ice cubes, only to be told there was a charge of 75 cents. I found this surprising and expressed my concern. After a brief exchange, the cashier, who later identified herself as the manager, offered me ice at a discounted 25 cents. My concern isn't financial; it's a matter of principle. I believe that essentials like water and ice should be complimentary in a restaurant, especially when spending over $30 on a meal. The feeling of being initially denied and then offered a discounted rate left me feeling belittled and patronized. While the manager explained that it was store policy, I find it disheartening that a paying customer is denied such basic amenities. Even though the manager apologized, it raises questions about the customer service standards at this establishment.Regrettably, this experience has led me to the decision not to return. I hope Patis on Amsterdam considers revisiting its policies to ensure a more customer-friendly approach in the future.

While their food is on par with the other Patis branches, the Amsterdam location has the worst service. There always seems to be only one worker working while the others are just relaxing. The one worker is busy taking phone calls, making drinks, serving, and taking in-person orders all at once. The wait times are ridiculous. I’ve been coming here multiple times in the last two weeks and it’s the same story every time. The last two times I just walked out after waiting 15 minutes since I wasn’t going to be helped within a reasonable amount of time
