Super fast & friendly service. Mixed on the dishes. Chicken was very good. Lumpia were great. Eggplant Adobo was soupy. Pancit was a big disappointment. Not a rice noodle and saturated in soy sauce...way too salty and not traditional.

Ate here twice last weekend. We are hooked! The pork and vegetarian spring rolls are great, the pork and chicken entrees are scrumptious and the baked goods / desserts are outstanding. I can't wait to try the eggplant entee and dishes which come with garlic rice. Extra kudos for the staff. Service was amazing. Our new favorite restaurant

Initial thoughts walking through the door. This space is beautiful. The interior decoration is rustic, cozy, and welcoming. As soon as I walked in and approached the counter, I was greeted warmly by the staff. They were very kind and welcoming. The foodMy starter was the pork lumpia, which came with a sweet, not spicy chili sauce on the side. They were very fresh crispy and had a great taste. The sauce was great at balancing the flavors. My main was the lechon kawali with a side of rice, cucumber salad, and a sauce. Overall, the lechon was nice and crispy. It was very well seasoned. It was a bit heavy on salt, but it was good overall. I'd never tasted spices like this, so I can't speak to its authenticity, but I loved it. Also, the burnt taste on the skin is immaculate. The cucumber salad was nice and tart a great contrast to the lechon and it also came with fried plantain which was slightly sweet. The closing dessert was a halo halo, and I oof never tasted ice cream like this before. I am a fan of ube ice cream now, and everything else includes it.Flan and cheesecake were top-tier hands down.Overall, the place is awesome. High recommend it. I look forward to going back to try the rest of the menu.

I've been meaning to stop in since they opened last year but I'm a little intimidated by the menu because I don't eat pork often. Anyway, I grabbed the chicken bao to go as a snack it's simple: friend chicken, pickled onion and cucumber, and a mild sauce but is so delicious, I could probably eat 8 of these in one sitting haha. I'm looking forward to coming in to have a proper meal sometime.

Beautiful space, quick service, really tasty food and desserts! Prices are reasonable for NYC, they have a $10 beer + chicharron deal. The owner is super friendly and nice too, gave us great recommendations ?Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, easy access to counter. Dining area decently spacious. Friendly staff would likely help with any accommodations.

From the moment I walked into Patok by Rachel I was enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that promised a memorable dining experience. The menu, a vibrant showcase of Filipino cuisine, offered an array of traditional dishes that spoke to the heart and soul of the Philippines. Each dish I tried was a masterpiece of flavors and textures, perfectly balanced to highlight the rich culinary heritage of the region. The pork dishes were tender, succulent and flavorful. They also have vegetarian options that adheres to Filipino food traditions. What truly set this restaurant apart was the authenticity of its dishes, combined with a modern twist that appealed to both Filipinos craving a taste of home and newcomers eager to explore the cuisine. The Halo-Halo dessert was a delightful end to the meal, with its colorful mix of sweet ingredients and shaved ice, providing a refreshing finale. The interior of the restaurant added to the overall experience, with decor that reflected the Filipino culture's vibrancy and warmth, creating a cozy and inviting environment.Patok by Rachel is a culinary gem in the Bronx and in NYC. They offer a genuine and authentic taste of the Philippines. Its combination of delicious food, friendly service, and warm ambiance earns it a well-deserved five stars.

I really enjoyed it here. The staff was so very friendly and the two dishes we had were great! Was very authentic and we chose based on suggestions of the most popular Philippine dishes. The food had good flavor but idve loved a bit more intense flavor.

I came here on my way to work over the weekend & ordered to-go the adobong talong & the roasted chicken, and put them in the fridge. I ate them after 2 days, after heating them up, and they turned out to be flavorful & good. I will be back when I get the chance, and will try the other items in the menu. The place looks spacious & I think is better accessible by the north headed 1 train, which is a local (although you can certainly take the A to its last stop in Manhattan & walk to this part of Broadway). I am glad there are Philippine folks venturesome enough to put up a food place up here, and seize the market here that's mostly dominated by Dominican food places
