I don’t want to discredit this place as the people there were nice but I also do not believe anyone should wait over an hour for their food. We were incredibly starved and unfortunately lucked out.
The drinks also took around 20 minutes to come by so in general we felt ignored for the most part but to be fair the place was packed but I do believe that there should be more staff in the kitchen at the very least.
Other than that the food was okay and the performers did their thing and I do not regret the experience.

Right when we walked in, we were greeted by the bartender who kindly offered us seating despite the bar being packed. Keep in mind that to get good seats you should get a reservation in advance!!
We then sat down and initially LOVED the ambiance, the music was great and you could really feel the sense of community. I remember even telling my partner “we are really going to come back here.”we were seated by 9:50 PM and ordered by 9:55 PM.
This is where the good stuff ends. Immediately after placing our order, we could barely reach the waiter who was clearly overworked (with him also being the bartender). We had finally received our food by 11:15 PM ish. Ridiculous wait time for food that was great but not AMAZING. My partner got the jerk chicken, it was a bit dry. I got the Rasta pasta which was really good. We also got the henny cola which was really good. But then again, no food should take that long to come out. So although the ambiance was great, our hunger took over and we were slightly tipsy and frustrated almost the whole time. My frustration surprisingly sobered me up.
Maybe service is better when it’s not so packed? I’m not sure.

We had a marvelous time, a grown up atmosphere. The food was to live for, seasoned well and Ms. Youngblood and her jazz band ROCKED OUT.

Connected with My sister and brother in-law at Patricks for Sunday Brunch. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. The restaurant is not very big but because of this it delivers a very intimate dining expereince. We had the Patricks Breakfast (Ackee & Codfish, Garlic Mashed Banana, and Jamaican Hard Dough Bread), Shrimp and Grits, the Oxtails and the Salmon Cake appetizer. All of the food was amazing. The Shrimp and Grits were some of the best that I have ever had.
Then the band came on and we experienced a fantastic Jazz performance. Each musician was extremely talented and the vocalist was amazing. We ended up spending about 2 hours there enjoying the food and the music. If we did not have an appointment we would have stayed longer. This is a gem in Harlem and it's worth the trip. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. You have to check this place out. You will not be disappointed.
We literally left tomi jazz to come here and it was sooo much better. Real jazz played by real musicians. Really friendly people and intimate atmosphere. Jamaican food was elite. Everyone here was not only a master of their craft but also super friendly and nice :) we will be coming here 100% of the time from now on!!! Also, the jerk chicken is really good! Cover is only $10 per person + $20 minimum spend per person. We also tipped the band because they were beyond amazing. We stayed for 3 hours!
Great music. Good cocktail

Small quaint vibe...Patrick forgot my group was coming...but the team and other diners shifted to accommodate a party of 7. We were grateful, since we had just flown into town. The music was on point! Friday night Jazz! The majority of us ordered the oxtail...they were tender and tasty, but the dishes were not hot...Luke warm is a stretch. I just didn't want to be the one to complain...if you know, you know!
