Pause Cafe was great! I just stopped in for a cup of black coffee, but they did a great job and it was a really cool environment. It seems like the perfect spot to meet a friend, work on a group project, or just get out of the house and enjoy your surroundings. Would highly recommend!
Tucked away on a Lower East Side corner, Pause Cafe lives up to its name it invites you to breathe. The energy is unfussy, a little bohemian, with rustic wooden tables, soft music, and a steady stream of regulars who know they’ve found something special.

Cute, super friendly host and owner, excellent baked goods.

No laptops, so not a work spot, but absolutely excellent at everything it aims to be. I should stress the clean, modern seating and tables, and retro decor.

I didn’t try the coffee, as the owner was kind enough to let me drink my homemade cold brew. The bread pudding and coffee cake were strikingly good
