When I lived in the West Village, I often came here for fried calamari, fresh salad, fresh pasta, and tasty wine. Whenever I came back to town after moving to Japan, I ordered the same things. I was always surprised that nothing had changed, even though the restaurant had relocated.
Was like being in a Florence cafe again when I had lunch yesterday. Started with a cold Peroni draft, orechiette pasta special with sausage & broccoli in an oil & garlic sauce and finished with homemade affogato dessert. $41 total. Best Italian for the price in NYC in a small family owned place.
Wowwwww this place was amazing!!! I loved everything about it. It truly felt authentic. It was a mom and pops shop and you can tell they care about the food and put so much love into it. It was so delicious . I am recommending this place to everyone. The waiter was also really good and knowledgeable . Had the burrata , onion focaccia, and eggplant parm with spaghetti with pink sauce . My boyfriend had the chicken parm, which the chicken on his plate was at least 90% of the plate....
