I found this place a year ago and have been coming back ever since. I always get the kimchi cheese beef pepper rice. It tasted amazing and the cheese pull is insane! I love how I love how great it looks in photos and videos. You can also customize the toppings with a little extra charge. The food here is also reasonably priced and the workers are really nice!
Such a great place to enjoy your meal! Very nice and attentive staffs and the service is very good. The food is so tasty and affordable. It’s served on a hot pan and you can cook your meal as you like it to be. Very recommended!
Great tasting food!!! Perfect spot for a quick bite and some sake. I highly recommend
I loved everything about my experience here. My favorite dish was the jumbo beef pepper rice with added kimchi, cheese, and mushrooms. This is the perfect combo because all of the flavors meld together perfectly. The peppery aroma mixed with the sizzling beef is next level.
One piece of advice: add CHEESE! I’m a regular here and this is one of the best casual eateries in the area and good bang for your buck in terms of portion sizes. If you order right you will have a meaty, cheesy, saucy plate of Japanese marinated meat and pepper rice.
Loved this place! Used to eat at Pepper Lunch all the time in japan and this was just as great.
this one is my favorite but i asked for a side of egg
I had the kimchi pepper steak and it was out of this world delicious. This place is outstanding in every way. Service was great too.
The Classic Pepper Rice was really, really delicious. I will be back!!
I love pepper lunch! I tried their kimchi cheese, sirloin steak and sukiyaki. All were so tasty. The combination of the sizzling steak, rice, and sauce are so comforting.

Our family loved Pepper Lunch while living in Japan. It was a nice surprise to see that it is making its way into the US. Go enjoy something different and delicious!
Definitely check this place out!! Hot sizzling plates of delicious food
Good food. String beans were pricey ($4) for the portion size, same goes to the "large" salad ($7). Leaving a review because I was impressed by the Japanese toilet, nice warm seat that felt amazing. Definitely try the bathroom when you are there. And the sambal pepper rice.
Concept is great. Prices are high and quality is ok
I love this place! We first tried it in the Philippines and were excited to see one pop up in Manhattan. I love the chicken and rice (add green beans). For us, it's a rather inexpensive stop for a hearty meal.
