We had a wonderful experience. The food was very fresh and delicious. The owner personally helped us to order items and receive the food as quickly as possible. The owner knew we had a time crunch to go see a Broadway play and he helped us to order and eat within an hour.
Excellent food and service. Super tasty. Highly recommend as a great, yummy neighborhood place. Very friendly and accomodating staff.
Always a pleasure to eat here! Food is excellent and the ambience great. The dining room has recently been refreshed and it's extremely comfortable and attractive. Highly recommended!
Classic Persian food with a modern twist. This place did a great job of updating some of the classic dishes without losing the traditional cuisine. Service was A+
It is a better DINNER VENUE. lunch is very noisy and the doors are left open so the traffic noise is loud and takes away from a pleasant dining experience. When asked to close the doors, and switch the air conditioning on- the owner refused!! It was a humid day too.
Loved it. Entrees had way too much rice but not enough protein I'm going back and will request an adjustment in what I order if that works I'd give it a five star all around
Everything about this place is excellent—the staff and the hospitality they provide, the atmosphere and of course the food. Kebabs are moist and delicious, stews are great and if they have the roast chicken special definitely get it! It'll outdo any roast chicken you've ever had!!
The food was excellent. The server was attentive and very warm. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Persepolis is my you must go to restaurant!
The food was absolutely amazing and the service couldn't have been better. Wonderful experience all around.
Our family group gathered from afar for lunch - the staff was wonderfully attentive; the menu is varied and interesting - each of was able to choose something we've never had before as well as some familiar comfort options and everything was delicious; we were able to take advantage of the special lunch pre fixed price; the restaurant was not crowded at all and we were able to linger and chat. We have been here many times and will continue to choose Persepolis for regular and special occasions.

In my opinion this is by far the best Persian restaurant on the East Coast, certainly in New York. The hospitality by the staff, the food and the ‘bistro ambiance' is fantastic. We have been visiting Persepolis for more than two decades, last night was a highlight. We had a chance to meet the Chef who brought us a basket of freshly baked bread that complemented his cuisine beautifully. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Always delicious. We had the lamb and grilled shrimp, both were fantastic we also had saffron ice cream, saffron cotton, candy, and baklava for dessert – the desserts are terrific - beautiful flavors!
We've been to Persepolis many times and it has been consistently good over the years. The food is very flavorful, well prepared and well seasoned. There is a good variety to choose from and some nice combo platters. It's reasonably priced for Manhattan and the management is quite nice. I really never tire of eating here.
Our first time there and we found it to be wonderful. Delicious food and plenty of it. Great prices, e.g. three-course, pre-fixe lunch for $25. An upper east side gem.
Always a favorite and excellent in every way.....food, service, ambience and value. Glad to see it was packed last night and for good reason!
