Thanksgiving here was a nice change up from busier or more expensive places or cooking at home. Enjoyed a nice simple turkey dinner with sides (soup was delicious, cranberry side portion was far too small-just a small spoonful, oh no that's my fav!), friend had delicious seared tuna with mango avo slaw appetizer (always on menu, I'll be back for this), duck entree (local L.I., tasty) and a hard cider and G&T. Very attentive intuitive service, we weren't rushed, seating was perfect (in a booth with good views), wasn't loud or overly crowded like places in Grand central or nearby can be. Bathroom was clean, no issues at all. Really enjoyed a good meal at this cool location- looks industrial because it literally under a roadway though you'd never know from lack of sound or vibration. Didn't need to dress up too much either, it's nice casual, ideal to meet friends or take a date and affordable. Obviously the location can't be beat, easy to reach by any subway, uptown or downtown buses, cab or Lyft/Uber.

really disappointed with this experience. despite having A LOT of empty spaces, they gave me a really poorly positioned table, where all the staff were passing, gathering, collecting glasses etc. which made my experience a lot worse.
i ordered a pumpkin soup - nothing special, yet overpriced.
and the crab cakes had a sort of salad, unfortunately BATHED in lemon juice which made my stomach hurt instantly.
definitely not worth 50+$ for some meh food with a terrible seating.

The Irish are liked by the US and are the US’ Middle Class, the: NYPD; FDNY; Tradesmen; Construction workers and Civil Servants because the Irish fought against the British in the Irish War of Independence and the US fought against the British for their independence so any enemy of the British is an ally of the US except the Spanish because Spain is a monarchy and isn’t white so the US not going to like Spain all that much like they try to get the British’s transactions, obedience and cooperation.
JW Anderson customer here, Northern Ireland exists to keep an eye on Ireland
Had brunch there so don't know about dinner, but I'm smitten. No question this place is about as expensive as you'll find, but if you're willing to drop $25 on an egg sandwich or pancakes you will find the food incredibly tasteful and filling, the plating a work of art, and the service impeccable. Also it faces Grand Central Station for those who want to jump into a meal as soon as they arrive in town, or want a sure thing before their train out of town. I felt treated like a VIP, or that I had stepped back into an earlier, gentler time. It was a splurge, but every so often it feels good to do - and hopefully you'll be smitten too.

Well, the iconic atmosphere hasn’t changed, the quality of execution of the food has. Their “New York strip steak “was a disgusting overcooked piece of sirloin. What a shame to let an icon fall out of favor like that

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to breakfast at Pershing Square because sometimes you just want to feel fancy and pretend you don’t care about prices.Spoiler: I cared.
I ordered a simple omelet with sausage and mushrooms. My wife went for the corned beef and hash omelet, which already sounded like it had its life together. When my food arrived, it looked amazing… except the sausage was missing. It was like ordering a Marvel movie and getting no superheroes.
Once they fixed it, though? Delicious. Worth the temporary heartbreak. My wife loved her meal too big portion, cooked perfectly, and absolutely no missing ingredients.
Overall, the food was great, the vibe was nice, and the prices made my wallet cry a little. Would I go back? Yes. Will it be anytime soon? Absolutely not. I need time to financially recover from this breakfast.

Great, friendly service and the best chicken pot pie I've ever had. Will return to what seems like a classic NY joint

Slow service. Food was fresh and delicious. Postmodern Jukebox was playing. Small portions for the dollar.

Best atmosphere and so, so convenient to Grand Central. Service is excellent and wait staff is not only attentive but will chat if you like. I wish the menu was a bit bigger but what they do have on the menu, they execute well.
