We stumbled across this restaurant as we were passing and so glad we went in. The staff were so lovely. The food was excellent. I had the lobster roll (delicious!) and my daughter had the short rib beef which she really enjoyed. It was such a great vibe and the service was great!

We visited this restaurant for breakfast during our first visit to New York City. They have amazing fresh squeezed orange juice. I had the eggs Benedict and they were very good. My daughter had an omelette and she enjoyed it very much. The service was a bit slow, but they were busy so it was understandable.

Came here twice for breakfast and also evening dinner.
Weekday mornings its very busy and the noise level is quite high - lots of people having breakfast before work I guess.
Weekends for breakfast is much quieter but the good food is the same all the time.
We had dinner one Saturday evening as a 'walk-in' , had to wait about 15mins as it was valentines day !!!.
Food & service were good on every visit.
Would defo return.

We were looking for a late lunch spot. This place caught our attention and we were quickly seated in a great window booth.
Service was quick -- there were few other diners at our off-hour mid-afternoon craving. We ordered a chicken bacon club to split along with a salad and fries.
The ordering was the high point. Well, the fries were those yummy thin fries that arrived pretty hot, screaming Eat Me! The sandwich had no flavor. I mean: At All. Maybe I tasted some wheat in that bread. Maybe not. Salt helped. But it was lacking any semblance of real food.
Meanwhile, in our great booth seat we watched the cascading line outside of Los Tacos No. 1. Even mid-day that place was hopping. I doubt we would have gotten such a great place to sit, but we would have likely eaten food that had some umph to it.
So...go for drinks! Or maybe the breakfasts others rave about. But in my experience, this in decidedly not the spot for an off-hours lunch.

Excellent breakfast as always. I got my usual smoked salmon Benedict, cooked and prepared perfectly. Good coffee, nice atmosphere, and friendly service.

Very cool atmosphere under the tracks across from Grand Central Station. Menu with lots of choices and good fresh food. However very expensive for what you get ($25 for pancakes!). Our breakfast was nothing to write home about, but not bad. Service was inconsistent. Probably not a go to for brunch in the city.

The food is always well prepared. The service is excellent and attentive. Good bar. It's a classic bistro so the food comes to the table promptly. They do not rush service and understand people have places to go. It is directly across the street from the Park Ave entrance of Grand Central Station so it's very easy to get to and superb place to rendezvous with others without a walk in bad weather.
We enjoyed the evening, the restaurant was not very crowded, hence it was on the quieter side, I do not know how it is when it is busier. Our dinners were all excellent. The healthy options were appreciated. I had the Sauvignon Blanc/Sancere and it was excellent. The coffee Creme Brulee was delish, I think it was a special. Overall a great experience, we were not rushed at all.
Much to my surprise (I've been walking past this place for years, if not decades), it was a pleasure. It is about 5 steps above typical diner food, i.e. a huge menu with anything you desire in American food, all presented in aesthetically beautiful servings. We had two salads and they were worth taking pictures of.
Food and drinks were perfect. Our server Georgi was excellent and even went the extra mile and found me outside after I left my wallet on the table. 10/10 highly recommend!
