sadly it was not a fun time at the restaurant. my burger was fine but my friend's salad left much to be desired. our server was very nice but it was sometimes impossible to track her down to get a glass of water. an aperol spritz for $20 was a bit excessive ~ even at a fancier restaurant i haven't been charged that price. i definitely would not be returning to pershing square.

All human life is here. Great spot for people watching outside. But there seemed to be a disconnect between the servers and whoever was pouring the drinks. Our guy kept returning to apologise for the delay- then our gin arrived with flat tonic. He was great, apologised and went to get it replaced with another G&T with flat tonic. Or was it the same one?

John our server was excellent! This was our first visit to Pershing Square. I ordered pancakes, my sister ordered French toast. Both the pancakes and French toast arrived hot with strawberries and blueberries on top and maple syrup on the side. We thoroughly enjoyed our mains. John stopped by to check on us and topped up our coffees when needed. We'll definitely visit Pershing Square when we visit New York again!

Very nice place, been there a bunch of times. This time though just wanted a burger. For the big price ~$25 the burger was small, overcooked and dry. Not a huge waste of money, but pretty disappointing.

A truly American restaurant. The atmosphere/taste/service is very nice. Grand Central Station is a must-see. We left satisfied.

My favourite diner in NYC.Good food served in a good atmosphere.Staff are really nice too.
we made a ressie which said NOTHING about having to order AN ENTREE PER PERSON to sit in a booth!!!! We wanted to have cocktails and share an entree and several appetizers BUT NOOOOOOOO!!!! THATS SIMPLY WRONG !!!! State your policy CLEARLY for a 3:15 reservation - SERIOUSLY??? WHO IS EACH EATING A FULL ENTREE AT THAT TIME??? we left spent our money at Capital Grille who was THRILLED to have us !!!!! See ya Pershing Sq NEVER AGAIN
This is a perfect place to meet when some or all of a group are coming into the city, especially now that the LIRR is direct to Grand Central. Pershing Square is spacious and casual with lots of windows. The menu is simple with some comfort food items, eg hash for breakfast, chicken pot pie for dinner. The impression is that of a large, upscale diner. I've had a couple of meetings/meals with friends visiting NY at Pershing Square and will happily return.

Love the location outside of Grand Central. Love the ambiance. Came for brunch. Standard eggs hash browns. Solid. Service was friendly enough. I would return.

Terrific pancakes (I had the ones with blueberries) and french toast too. Nice atmosphere. Very good American coffee, the best I had in town!
