So after a debacle eating subpar Thai, i happily stumbled upon a slick looking pie shop on my way to B-Stuy…enter Petee’s. Got a stack of four individual pies. The ice box was the clear winner (not expecting that since I’m not a chocolate pudding fan). My experience “soured” with the cherry pie, which was anything but sour. I can only describe it as TITANICALLY sweet with a crumb/nut topping; no bueno. The coconut custard was okay, nothing I’d go back for factoring...
We tried pretty much all the pies that were available. The apple crumb pie was my favorite!! It would be better if it was warmed up. The blueberry pie was not worth it. The pecan pie was second runner up. The ice cream was also delicious!
nothing too crazy. i want to try more slices to see how i like them because i ordered two-one we loved and the other was not good. the pecan pie is sweet but good. the honey flavor stands out in a wonder way and the center is smooth. the chocolate cream pie isn’t so good. the cream on top has a refrigerator taste and the pie itself tastes exactly like the jello-o chocolate pudding which i’m not a fan of. can’t wait to see how the other pies taste
