Nice bar, went for a drink as I'm a Newcastle united fan and was told it's the official Newcastle bar in new York, photos and pictures of memorabilia around the pub, just a shame I didn't catch a match while in NYC, a must for all Newcastle united fans.

I was looking for somewhere to watch Newcastle United on Boxing Day. I found the official supporters bar for NYC at Peter Dillon's. It was a quick train ride from my hotel and only a few blocks walk from the station. I arrived about 45 minutes from kick off and easily found a high top seat near the bar. By the time the match started the place was packed. Amazing atmosphere. I met a local who ended up sitting with me for the match. They had a special on 3 or 4 different pints. If I remember correctly they were $6 which is insanely cheap for Manhattan. The bartenders kept up with the huge crowd and I didn't have to wait long for a beer. Great service and decent atmosphere for the match. Would definitely go back.

I would say the prices are reasonable and the women bartenders are very nice. However, there is a white male bartender who seems to have made up his own rules that the other staff don’t appear to follow. He behaved rudely toward us simply for coming around the counter to place an order, even though the front counter was crowded with people. We didn’t rush or interrupt anyone; we only went there so he could take our order when he was free.

An impressive pub that has loads to admire in the decor and has a beautiful and historic vibe. Unfortunately the staff weren’t the friendliest on the evening I visited but there’s plenty of seating and TV screens throughout. For a more unique setting I’d recommend.

A bunch of coworkers and I were having a good time until my friend got too drunk. Granted, he needed to be escorted out, so I was doing so, and the bartender came and started shouting at us. She was a female with dirty blonde hair, and did not listen to anything that I was saying. Outside, I realized that he was too drunk to re-enter and was working on getting him a cab home. He tried yelling at someone, so I attempted to calm him down, but a random girl outside kept antagonizing him, and the same bartender came out and started yelling at him. She kept shouting over me, insulting both me and him, saying I was also drunk (this is at 1AM, and I was not drunk - writing this at 2 AM), which of course made him angrier (very poor understanding for a bartender). Ultimately, I got him in a cab, and we both left, but the bartender had no respect for us (presumably homophobic because we were being intimate outside), and I have never experienced such disrespectful treatment before in ten years of being in NYC). I acknowledge my friend was drunk, but I wasn’t, and she still shouted over me, and actively ignored me, anything I said, and insulted me, which is SO disrespectful that I even wonder how she got employed in a customer-facing position. I will NEVER return here, and if you value any kind of human respect, you wouldn’t either.
Great pub for a Guinness & always great location on 36th near Madison & 5th Avenue. Very good service.

I’d imagine this is a fantastic bar in its own right but I came to watch a Toon game. Amazing atmosphere, full of local toon fans and people from the NE who are on holiday or have moved to NYC. Great service and beer selection and really reasonable prices.
