Lovely place with wonderful service and food! We are so glad we found it while walking in the city on a beautiful December day. We had the Reuben/Tot special and it was delicious...we will be back soon!
You can feel the history as soon as you walk in. I got there a few minutes after the opened at and the locals were already crowding in and everybody knew everyone else and it was a nice respite from the craziness outside. I had Pop Pop's top shelf burger and I would totally get it again. I chose this place because of a scene from Highlander that was filmed there but I would go back just because of who they are. Love it.
Just a great neighborhood pub. Close to 100 years old I think. And for good reason. The staff is awesome and so are the numerous regulars. Always friendly and familiar faces in the joint. People really love the signature burger - the pop pop I think it is - but I tend to opt for the classic bacon cheeseburger. Steak fries are potentially polarizing - I cannot understand why - but that’s your default side. Can also opt for tots or onion rings. Have a nice potato salad too - really...
