Food took forever and then was marginal at best. Waitress forgot our wine order. Unfortunately this place has gone down hill
Overall solid but my waiter never offered me the specials and recommended different things to people on either side of me. Not pleased that I was treated differently. Wasn't sure if it was because I was dining by myself. He rarely came back after taking my order. The runners were more sincere about their interaction than waiter. Overall the food was great. Boar green tagliatelle dish was amazing. Wish I got the almond granita but lemon dessert delicious.
We actually ended up at the Thompson St location. Not bring a New Yorker I didn't realize there were two locations. My second visit to Thompson St., and this lovely little restaurant didn't disappoint. The service is great, and its neighborhood Sicilian ambience is very welcoming. I could eat the duo de bruschetta every night!
Probably one of the best staff in a downtown restaurant. It’s small but they made us and our stroller feel welcome.
The pasta is delicious and the portion sizes are very very generous. Something you don’t always see these days. The ragú pasta is hearty and tastes like it was made by an Italian Nonna in her cramped kitchen. The portion makes it feel more so. The seafood is simply amazing as well! The swordfish was excellent.
Daily specials are good too! However, I recommend sticking with the main menu if you want to get the classics!

Dinner for two on 7/15, had three different servers, two of which stopped halfway through service to sit at table next to use to eat dinner. Chicken Milanese has no greens- just an absurd amount of chicken cutlets with a few potatoes. Cacio e Pepe made table service-but tacky and noodles were dry and sauce was so thick and sticky it all stuck together. No cocktails and limited beer list. Photos looked great when we made reservation, but something seems off between what you see online and when you walk in.
The restaurant moved to a new location and has been there for one week. When we arrived it was a bit chaotic and loud. We asked to sit outside but they currently have no liquor license for outside. We sat inside. Bread was delivered first. It was very pretty but the texture was very doughy. Not worth the calories. Tagliatelle Verdi con Ragu' di Cinghiale aromatizzato alle Erbe e Tartufo Green Tagliatelle in Wild Boar Ragu' with Fresh Herb Aroma Topped with Black Truffle was served. Pasta was fresh but the entire dish was missing something as it was very bland. We expected more flavor from the Ragu' . 2nd dish served Lasagna verde alla Nerano Green lasagna in Nerano style with cheese and zucchini . Again the pasta was good but the dish was flat. Not a lot of flavor, cheese on top cooked to long as it was hard. The place is a lovely room and the ladies room very cute. Service was very good. Perhaps they are having new location jitters or maybe we chose the wrong dishes.
It was my daughter's 14th b'day and she loved every minute of it. It was a group of 5 and everyone was served perfectly. Food was delicious and the team sang happy b'day beautifully. Overall it was great and what I enjoyed most, we were not rushed out at all. Well done.
Great atmosphere, great food, every dish was tasty. A little crowded, but it's part of the experience.

Only one negative comment— the big mixed seafood dish for $70 is underwhelming. 1/2 of it is great with white fish and clams and octupus and big shrimps. The other 1/2 is a disaster to me with sardines with all the bones and mini crabs or something. Not worth the price in my opinion. We should have just got the fish of the day.
Everything else about the place is 6-7 big fat stars !
Ravioli was perfect
Spinach was amazing
Meatballs were a little over cooked but the mushrooms and sauce made up for that

Absolute Excellence!
Speaking as an Italian who has tried countless restaurants of this cuisine in New York, this is hands down one of the very best.
I’ve been here four times, and twice was when I brought my girlfriend on her very first trip to the city. She loved it so much the first time that she insisted we come back on our very last day.
🍽 Must-try: the Chicken Milanese. The best I’ve ever had! The portion is generous — perfect for sharing.
The Fettuccine with porcini mushrooms are outstanding, and the Tiramisù is truly top tier.
💡 Tip: book in advance to avoid waiting, especially if you’re planning to walk in.
Service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting — every visit has been perfect.
For me, coming back to New York means coming back here.

Some of the food was fantastic (bruschetta with carpaccio) some was mediocre. The place is cramped, super loud and I have a personal disdain for any place that requires you to order everything at once. I wouldn't go back.

they let me cut the noodles with scissors!
It’s just ok. Americanized italian food. Pasta drowned in creme. Branzino is a single fillet, expensive for the price. It was well cooked. Not much to highlight. Service was good. No recommendations.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing night at Piccola Cucina Osteria – Spring St.! The tableside Caesar and tableside tiramisu were unforgettable, but the best part was when the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to my daughter under disco lights! Incredible food, incredible staff, incredible memories.
