Absolutely amazing service and food! Went for a birthday dinner and was greeted very warmly, the food was absolutely amazing. Every plate and dessert I tasted was a 10/10 with unique and lovely flavors. Definitely the best meal I've had all week!

Pretty space and very lively atmosphere. Service is quick and they do seem eager to turn the table. I didn't love either of my dishes. I had the Vitello Tonatto and never had it before but wanted to try ti after The Bear episode. I found the sauce too rich and the veal slices were smothered in it. Maybe this is how it supposed to be? Not sure but not my thing. I also had the squid ink pasta with cuttlefish. I found the sauce to thick and rich.. The best part of the meal for me were the dips for the bread. Could be I ordered the wrong thing as the place was packed, but I think there are other Italian restaurants I would frequent before returning. Staff were nice and pleasant.

The ambience was very nice, enough going on but not intruding. The service was spectacular and the food was fabulous. The rice ball appetizer had great flavor. The bucatini cacio e Pepe was so rich but not overly stuffing, plus they finish it at the table in a massive cheese wheel! The tiramisu was prepared table side, and had great flavor!! If you are looking for an Italian restaurant with great food and service, Piccola will not let you down!!

We went with our friends for dinner again recently. Been there many times and it is always fun. We sat in the back near the kitchen this time. Ordered several appetizers and main courses to share with the table. Then had great deserts. Erica the hostess is wonderful and always makes our visit a memorable dining experience.
Highly recommended! Visit often. Reservations a must.
Back again for lunch with friends. We ordered pasta with sausage and salad with tuna. Both were very nice. Large portions.

For all the years I've lived in New York, I had never noticed this restaurant tucked in on East 60th street. By good fortune, I had lunch with my former Internist who lives around the corner. Delicious food and very affordable with lunchtime specials.

Piccola Cucina Uptown used to be one of my go-to spots, but it’s really gone downhill. The food quality has dropped a lot — the Tiramisu was especially bad this time. Even worse, they refused to accept my gift card, claiming it had “expired” after a year — which is actually illegal under federal and New York State law. When I tried to explain this, the manager was rude and dismissive instead of trying to help. Really disappointing to see a place I used to love treat loyal customers this way.

VERY DISAPPOINTED with my experience today. I had a restaurant gift card with remaining balance, but they REFUSED to accept it just because it was “over a year old.” I checked both federal and New York laws — there is NO rule that allows a gift card to expire after one year. This is NOT OK.

The manager showed me an email that someone else supposedly received and said it was my problem. I explained several times that no one ever told me about any expiration when I bought or used it before — I was even told it would NOT EXPIRE. She just kept saying “that’s not possible.”

I ended up paying out of pocket. Later at home, I checked their website — and it says NOTHING about any expiration date. This is completely MISLEADING and feels like FRAUD. UNACCEPTABLE customer service and dishonest policy.

This location stands out for its authentic vibe and flavorful dishes. The calamari was amazing, and the octopus carpaccio had a perfect balance with the veggies. The truffle branzino is an absolute must try unforgettable flavor!Unfortunately, the cacio e pepe was disappointing beautiful presentation but too watery and lacking in cheesy flavor. The signature clam spaghetti was nice for seafood lovers. The biggest letdown was the service. My cocktail arrived 20 minutes late (and only after I asked again), and it tasted mostly like water and ice. The wine came out almost after we finished the appetizers, and the server didn’t pour it, just left it on ice bucket. She sent out all the appetizers at the same time, even though we were there to enjoy a relaxed, pleasant dinner(the table was small, and unfortunately, it was impossible to find space for more than two appetizers.)
Desserts were fantastic. I wish the server had treated us more like guests rather than just customers. We wouldn’t have felt like they wanted us to leave quickly, and we would have had a much nicer overall experience.

After two years we were back. We loved the arancini and both pasta dishes. We will be back next time in NYC.

First visit won’t be my last! I sat at the bar, and Edwin took impeccable care of me. Everything from the bread service (soft, rustic slices with sun-dried tomato EVOO, carrot confit, and pureed chick peas), lobster ravioli (special), beer (Forst), wine (Brunello, as expertly suggested by Edwin), and cannoli, exceeded expectations. A perfect lunch experience for my lazy Sunday. All kudos to Edwin and the kitchen!

Dined here multiple times. As an Italian, I appreciate the authenticity they bring (literally) to the table. From the staff to the food, incredible setting and food.
