Small but nice staff and did a good job with a party of 10. Do wish they timed the entrees better so they all came out together instead of staggered with quite some time between them.

Mediocre by NYC standards. Service was very slow and the food was only ok. Chicken parm wasn’t crispy and the gnocci was a bit heavy. The portions are very large and they charge $8 per person that doesn’t get their own entree.

I was so excited to come to this restaurant because it was rated so high. However, the wait staff was super rude and did not help with my dietary restriction. I am diary free and normally when I go out they will substitute butter for oil or give me suggestions. However the waitress said “no they don’t do it like that in Italy” and then walked away, well honey I’ve been to Italy multiple times and they DO! She was also very inattentive and took forever to come over and the meal really dragged on. Since she refused to modify any of the meals I got oil and garlic sauce which was mediocre and she would NOT add any protein. I don’t understand, I was willing to pay more but she would not allow this change. It is 2024, and people have allergies. I think this restaurant really needs to learn how to be more accommodating. I would not recommend this restaurant at all and I do not understand why it is rated so high.

My honest review is the food is decent at best but the service is absolutely terrible. There are so many other well known Italian restaurants in nyc that have better food and simultaneously provide way better service (Bamonte's, Da Nico, etc.). There is no way any native New Yorker would ever think this is a good Italian restaurant.

I came here in April from London and I still regularly think about the buratta limoncello raviolo. It makes me so sad I am stuck across the atlantic from it

Piccolo Angolo, a quaint establishment in the West Village, is a hidden gem that offers a delightful dining experience despite its modest size and open kitchen. The friendly and attentive service enhances the overall experience, making guests feel warmly welcomed.

The culinary offerings at Piccolo Angolo are impressive. The giant meatball appetizer sets the tone with its hearty flavor, while the braised beef short rib ravioli stands out for its rich and savory taste. The Bolognese sauce linguini is equally delightful, offering a well-balanced and flavorful experience. The Italian sausage pasta is another highlight, showcasing the kitchen's ability to create traditional Italian dishes with a touch of finesse.

However, the veal ossobucco, though flavorful, was slightly overcooked, affecting its tenderness. Additionally, while the veal Milanese was satisfactory, it was not the same anticipated veal Cotoletta.

One notable downside is the limited space and insufficient cooling during the hot summer months, which can make the dining environment uncomfortably warm.

Overall, Piccolo Angolo delivers on taste and service, making it a charming spot worth visiting. Despite some minor drawbacks, it remains a strong contender in the West Village dining scene, earning a commendable rating.

We ordered 4 dishes, which allowed us to try different sauces.

Overall the food is good, not great! The manager is very rude and clumsy. I made a reservation, and she complained that we were 15 minutes late, and the restaurant was almost empty. When closing the account, the amount did not match. The restaurant charges more if you pay by card, which is not common in NYC. He charged tips of 20% on the value added to the sales tax, which is also unusual.

Came highly recommended but what a disappointment. Both our dishes, meatballs and shrimp, severely lacked flavor. On a positive note the House wine was very nice. Will not return.

Great Italian restaurant. Big portions and deliciously tasting food. Diverse menu of pasta dishes, appetizers, salads, desserts and more. They offer indoor seating and some tables outside. Friendly service.
