Absolutely incredible and charming bakery! Their gingerbread, a seasonal item, is divine.

Not seen here: Purchased candy cane-shaped cookies, Madeleines, and Tunisian olive oil.

My favorite bakery in the city 🩵🩵 went to this super fancy one everyone recommended and got super stale bread, went to this random one after to get a different thing of bread hoping to not have my hopes crushed again and thank gods this place ended up being such a gem. The staff is always so kind and the food is always fresh and wonderful.

I finally got around to trying this quaint little bakery and had high expectations. I got the brioche and croissant. The brioche was so dry and for nearly $5, I was so disappointed. The croissant was decent - definitely better than the brioche.

You really need to know what to order here, and it’s definitely not the brioche.

They make a white cake with lemon and coconut that’s delicious!

Came there from far away and found that they are closed for a summer vacation. Of course owners didn’t update a schedule on Google maps.

I'd stopped by this place many times when in the area, including before the pandemic, and made a point of returning when they reopened. The various pastries and other food items were at least good, and the service v courteous-- until a few weeks ago.
Even though they close at 7, the next-to-last time I stopped by, around 6:30, no more espresso drinks were available, and I was informed of this in quite a brusque, irritated manner. Last night's experience took the proverbial biscuit, though: I saw some v appetising-looking fruit tart and ordered a slice -- only for the person on duty to discourage me from buying same, claiming that it had been sitting out too long -- the sort of thing you say when you don't want someone's custom, which suits me fine. Never going there again.

haven't tried the croissant yet but I have been looking for a French bakery with ham and croissant and when you walk in the menu is behind the counter so I didn't see the menu and did not notice if there was ham and cheese croissant and when I asked the lady that was there she just pointed at it then I asked her how much and she said the menu is behind you with an attitude.. like ok? I've never been here obviously that's why I'm asking the questions but I will not be going back even if the croissant is good lol

I am amazed at how rude and unwelcoming the owner/lady I always see working there is. Been there about 10 times, I stopped tipping because she shows 0 appreciation for her customers. If the bread wasn't good I'd easily give this place 0 stars and watch it go out of business

Have loved and frequented Épices in the past. Stopped in for a croissant today before 2p and it was notably stale, enough to make me think it was baked the day before. Not good. The packaged shortbread cookies were great - maybe the plastic wrap keeps them fresher than the croissants.

Worst service ever. I went before closing, but the lady at the counter was so rude. I asked what kind of filling the thumbprint cookies were, and she stared at me as if it were a ridiculous question. She admitted to mishearing me, then proceeded to justify her rudeness by saying customers ask her stupid questions all the time. Immediately turned around and left. I had this place saved and wanted to check it out, but the attitude and terrible service has lost a customer.

Just got 3 pastries from here. The crust on the quiche was amazing. But while eating, noticed there was mold on the croissant and in the jam of the danish pastry. Beware!

CAP didn't do it for me.. Filling not bad but pastry fail.
