Use to be good before they merged with Kossar. Sad to leave this review but they have messed up my orders a couple times, mixed very low quality bagels.
Best bagel in NYC.
Just to clarify. I am not angry, fuming or livid in any way shape or form. This is a pure reasonable review and i hope who ever reading this understands that.
This has to be one of the most absurdly overpriced establishments I’ve ever been to. I ordered two pastrami sandwiches with cheese, honey mustard, onions, and pickles—$36 for two sandwiches. Sure. Ok fine. I guess? Lol
I also asked for tomatoes, and the guy points to a sign and says, “That’s an extra $3.50.”
Three dollars and fifty cents for a slice of tomato—on top of nearly $40 already spent? That’s beyond greedy.
Whoever owns this place is completely out of touch with reality. Absolute rip-off. Disgusting
Cannot wrap my head around the overall rating. We’re New Yorkers and think these are some of the best bagels in the city.
Good bagels but low amount of cream cheese. Based on other reviews I think it just depends on who serves you. Other bagel shops give so much creams cheese it’s thicker than the actual bagel, here I got barely enough to be satisfied and that’s even with me taking the top half of the bagel off!
Delicious though.
Inflation? These prices go beyond that. This is greedflation. My chai, was not a chai. I saw the barista making it with an instant powder, and It tasted like some sort of snickerdoodle milkshake situation.
$30 for two average bagel sandwiches. $10.50 for a BEC and $16.50 for a smoked salmon sandwich are insane even for Manhattan (avg to below-average quality, toasted bagel was dry and stiff) walked out regretting the whole order. Should’ve read reviews before coming and paid attention to prices before ordering!

I'd been to the Pick A Bagel on 8th Ave, but this was my first time at this UWS location. My friend is a regular here, so the staff knew her drink order, which was cool.We ordered 2 bagels to share:- Plain bagel with lox spread cream cheese, lettuce and tomato- Blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheeseWe took the bagels to go, but there were some tables inside, which was nice. With the first one, I really liked the addition of lettuce and tomato. It made for a great sandwich for lunch. The second is my friend's go-to. I've always enjoyed blueberry bagels, but had never tried strawberry cream cheese. I didn't find the pink bubble gum color very appealing, but it was pretty good--sweet, like a dessert bagel. One thing I did notice was that they don't put on a ton of cream cheese like some other bagel shops do. I'm ok with that since I prefer light cream cheese, but I can see how people are unhappy, since it does feel overpriced for the amount you get.

It’s overpriced. I ordered an everything balge with jalapeno cream cheese. They put the cream cheese less than other bagle stores but, charge more money.

Bagels are good but they’ve doubled or tripled the prices and halved the quality. There’s almost no cream cheese on the bagels. Also the egg sandwiches are all bread. Bagels are much smaller than they used to be. Sad to see such a good spot take a nose dive in the name of greed.

Not a typical NYC bagel place. They toasted the bagel without even asking me if I wanted it toasted and it barely has any cream cheese.
