The bagels were delicious but the service was quite rude. Rushed us the entire time even though it wasn't that busy
So I ordered from an app "to good to go"I got there talked to a lady and since obviously ? to her eyes I am no a costumer which by the way I was, I paid 5.99 for a surprise bag. She just turn and said go to the end so I moved. While watching a guy grabbed a bag given by this lady and started putting bagels in it, he never did eye contact with me, he started putting a bunch of bagels in the bag, he didn't ask anything nor looked at me. He left the bag at the cashier with out even saying here you go.So sorry cause is my first time there and what if I wanted something else. I am a costumer. Don't think I will go back there and with the rest of the reviews that I have read is not a good place nor service. Thanks
Honestly you can find way better bagel places. The BEC is pretty good but we also had a plain with strawberry cream cheese and it tastes like artificial strawberry flavoring…and NOT in a good way. Also looks like it was dyed with food coloring. We couldn’t even eat it to be honest which is such a bummer.
THEY DO NOT TOAST THE BAGELS RIGHT. This place is the pits. They hand me a toasted bagel in 15 seconds. It doesn't take a genius to tell you its not toasted right. They have their toaster set on high and the fastest speed. So the outside of the bagel almost burns and the inside of the dough is still hard and cold. This is insulting and so aggravating I curse about it in my office every single time I get a bagel here. I've asked for it to be done differently, and I get it the same. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TOAST BREAD PRODUCTS!
EMPLOYEES AT THIS LOCATION ARE KNOWN FOR BELITTLING AND YELLING AT CUSTOMERS!!! THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS WITH SERIOUS DISRESPECT!!! IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR JOB THEN QUIT. THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON FOR CUSTOMERS TO WALK IN EXPECTING THEIR DAY TO GO WELL AND YOUR EMPLOYEES CRUSH THEIR DAY FOR A STUPID REASON. THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO BE SECRETLY WATCHED/EVALUATED AND THEY NEED TO BE FIRED. IF I HEAR ANOTHER CUSTOMER EXPERIENCED YOUR RIDICULOUS ATTITUDE(S), PREPARE TO LOSE YOUR JOBS. BECAUSE THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. ACT PROFESSIONAL AND LEARN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Bad service! The morning shift cashier is straight up rude. I am a frequent customer at this Pick a Bagel for the last 4 years because it is only a block away from my work. I normally order my items online in advance and then head to the shop to pick it up. So normally, there is a separate line for online/phone orders. But please BE AWARE that this line is UNAVAILABLE when if the cashier is in a bad mood. She would make you stay on the same line with people that need to make a purchase at the store. So what is the purpose of having the option of letting people order in advance? Tips to the management: Please train your staff to have a professional manner.
I had a horrible experience at this location! 0 stars ! The staff is very rude ! I bought 2 dozen bagels , cream cheese and butter ! However , one of your employees in there was very rude and yelled at me in front of everyone including other CUSTOMERS in the store . He made me feel terrible and not a pleasant way to start my day. Upon leaving I checked to make sure I had everything and was missing the butter ! I told the cashier ! she tells her boss I’m guessing . He started to yell “MAKE UP YOUR MIND, I HAVE A LINE” SHOULD I CLOSE THE STORE “ . How obnoxious is that ? After spending all that money , he belittled me in front of other customers . You should be grateful you are still getting support after the pandemic ! One thing I do know is I will not be going back to PiCk a Bagel again and I will let my , friends and family know not to go here . Looks like others had a similar experience
Great spot. We ordered three bagels with Lox and a blueberry muffin!
On our short vacation c** bagel tasting tour in New York, Pick a Bagel was our first stop. Ordered Sesame with walnut raisin which was delicious. The mocha is also good. They have a cute patio where one can sit back and enjoy bagel in between the city hustle. Nice place to try fresh bagels! ??
Truly a NYC bagel shop. Fresh bagels and all fresh ingredients. Good smoked fish too.

Good bagels. The walnut raisin cream cheese tastes different than in other places. But overall the service is quick.
Great fresh bagel & fresh cream cheese. Delicious pound cake (it’s by the register, definitely get it!) We we’re able to get 3 stools by the window, but they could use some more seating. Would definitely go there again.
Stopped in after a walk in Central Park for a coffee and a bagel.I had an onion bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and it was great! Can’t wait to go back.
Pricey place to splurge on a bagel. They are pretty good with a nice selection.
Quick service. Good bagels.
