Long time neighborhood favorite for roast chicken served with a tangy garlic sauce. Spacing between tables is generous, staff is nice and helpful, and there's a pleasant track of Peruvian Andes music to set the mood. We chose to share their Peruvian Chicken platter, a $60 combo with a whole grilled chicken that melted off the bone; a large salad with tomatoes, lettuce and avocado; and a large plate of freshly made French fries. It's hard to eat on the UWS for $30 these...

I been to Pio Pio, that Peruvian spot, a couple times now and it’s alright, I give it 3 stars. The food okay, nothing too special about it—kinda just regular, you know? The vibe not bad, but it don’t stand out much either. It’s fine if you nearby and hungry, but I ain’t rushing back for nothing. Could be better, could be worse.

It's a little cold if you are sitting by the door .. but the staff was so accommodating.. the good is always delicious... I'm not sure who Juanita is... But her chicken is a must have!
