Overall, I was disappointed. While the food was “good”, the service and ambiance was not. It is a very small restaurant and very narrow. In fairness to the restaurant, if was a Friday night and there was a family celebration of sorts that was very noisy with a lot of kids. I sort of felt like I was at a Chuck E Cheese's . This was my second time at Pizzatre and it was great both times. Pizza is all about the crust and theirs is just the right amount of chew without being too thick. Pastas are all fresh and perfectly al dente. Service is super friendly and efficient. Upstairs dining room is small but clean and bright. Make a rez since it's usually a wait.
Delicious escarole and bean soup and a very satisfying white pizza. I also love that much of the staff is from Italy! PizzArte is a reliable spot for a good dinner when in midtown and an excellent value for the neighborhood.
