Heard amazing things about Planta over the years and finally got to try it. Absolutely loved all of the maki rolls, the red dragon was my favorite. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the dan dan noodles. They were incredibly bland and lacked seasoning, not sure if it was just an off day for them. There was faint heat from the szechuan peppercorns and the sauce itself just tasted like plain coconut milk. Korean chick'n sandwich was alright, didn't get any Korean flavors besides a faint gochujang taste in the aioli for the fries. Dessert was delicious. I would go back just for the matcha cheesecake (and red dragon roll). Loved the texture of the banana pudding cake and the caramel was great. Our bill totaled over $200 and we left still feeling like we could eat (something to think of). Service was slow, but again could have been an off night. They calculate their tip on the total price including tax which I disagree with.

I chose this restaurant because the menu listed so many gluten-free options, and I have celiac disease. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the waitress told me to ignore the “GF” labels on the menu and instead gave me a much smaller list of what I could actually eat. Had I known that in advance, I wouldn’t have come. The online menu with “GF” next to items is very misleading. To make it worse, the only dessert option that was safe for me wasn’t even available that night. Service was also very slow. Overall, a disappointing experience

Absolutely delicious! I tried a few of their makis and other dishes. Would highly recommend! After dinner I had their iced matcha latte and it was delightful!

One of the best tasting vegan restaurants I have tried. The Bang Bang Broccoli and 1000 Layered Potatoes were everything I excepted and wanted.

Had a seat at the bar on a busy night, felt very accommodated and enjoyed the nice vibes and good service. The fried mushrooms are amazing!

The options were wonderful so many of them and the 1000 layer potatoes was seriously one of my favorite things ever! Updated from previous review on 2025-08-24

Love PLANTA Queen! Have tried a few different locations (including the one in Williamsburg that closed and the awesome one in Toronto) but this main location is still my favorite. Great ambience! Somewhat slow service but friendly staff. Been here many times. Some of our go-to dishes are: - Torched & Pressed maki roll [highly recommend] - Firecracker roll - Dragon roll - Unagi Eggplant Nigiri [highly recommend!] - Crispy Rice [highly recommend!] - Bang Bang Broccoli [highly recommend!] - Thai Lettuce wraps: surprisingly very good, healthy, and tasty Other dishes we’ve tried that were solid dishes but weren’t our favorite: - Singapore Noodles: very good but beware if you’re not a fan of cilantro - Udon Noodles: quite rich in flavor but can feel heavy - Truffle Fried Rice - Beef & Broccoli: takes very fake meat-y - Wafu Crunch Salad Previously went for a larger family gathering for a weekday lunch. Restaurant staff were able to accommodate a young infant and provide a high chair. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-16

Had a 5:30pm reservation on a Tuesday. Arrived at 5:23 and there were only a few people inside already. Hostess sat us at the tables in the front across from the bar. Everyone else who came in continued to be seated in the back so not sure why we were up there but we were fine with the spot. About 15 minutes later we noticed no one had come over to us yet. Waited a few more minutes and my sister kindly asked one of the guys at the bar if someone was coming to take care of our table. He said he would find out. Another 5 minutes go by and nothing. I went up to the hostess and kindly asked if there was a server for the front section because we had been here for 25 now and no one had come over to us once. She said “there’s only one waitress”. I totally understand and we are never the type to complain or anything but 25 minutes is crazy and we watched groups of people who came after us get served. She notified the waitress who came over and told us she was so sorry for the wait she didn’t know no one came over to us. She was very nice and said she would tell them to expedite it. We just didn’t want to wait another half hour because we clearly had been forgotten about. We ordered the volcano roll and the Japanese steak. Food came quickly and it was very good.

We visited this place and it was good, but nothing extraordinary. I feel like it’s more about the experience than the food itself. Overall, it was fine but not particularly memorable

Review: Planta Queen The food at Planta Queen was tasty and well presented. The Hawaiian Crunch Maki had a nice mix of flavors, but was a bit too sweet for me. The General D’s Cauliflower was flavorful, though also a little on the sweet and salty side. Overall, both dishes were really good—just slightly heavy on the sweet and salty for my taste . Still a great place for creative vegan food.

Food was delicious. 10/10 would eat again. The food came quickly but service was slow, even though I was one of two people seated at the bar. Took a while to order and had to flag the staff down multiple times over a ten min period to bring the check. They might have been having an off night though.
