I come here all the time and they’re always great! The staff is super helpful and patient — especially since I’m picky and don’t drink milk or eat bananas. They always get my order right and make it easy for me. Thanks for consistently great service!

I’ve come here about 10 times even though it is grossly overpriced sometimes you just crave an açaí bowl you know?
Tell me why out of the 10 times I get the same order - a bowl WITH ALMOND BUTTER - 5 times I don’t have almond butter in there??? That’s an abysmal rate of failed orders. Why am I paying extra for something that’s a coin toss whether I’ll actually get it or not?
And it shouldn’t be my responsibility to check that my order is correct every time I place a takeout order
THATS THE LAST TIME I ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION AGAIN AND I ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME

I've taken a liking to really thick smoothies recently, and this playa bowl satisfied the craving. I got the dolce something something smoothing with a bit of coffee in it. Took maybe 10 minutes to get ready, but it was convenient to grab and go for a walk in Central Park nearby.

I tried Playa Bowls for the first time today.
With the Mixed Bowl, you can combine 2 bases so I chose Coconut + Mango Berry Bowl. It was a delicious bowl, except I’d expected mango chunks, not sweetened mango puree / sauce. It was overly sweet and I would have preferred natural mangos.
I ended up eating the whole bowl except for the mango, but considering the price ($15.95+) and amount, I think it would be best shared as a snack.
When I arrived, there was just one person in front of me, so there wasn’t much of a wait.
I took my bowl to go, but inside of the store was cute. There was a counter facing the street and a couple of tables for dining in, so it could be a good snack stop.

Clean, fresh, and packed with flavor. Whether you're into açaí, coconut, or pitaya, they’ve got every base and topping combo you could want. Indoor seating only, and just a short walk from Central Park.. which is perfect for enjoying your bowl outdoors.
Shoutout to Z, who was super helpful and knew the menu well. Definitely a go-to spot for a tasty, healthy treat!

Playa Bowls is the best! It’s my favorite go-to for açaí bowls. You can’t miss it, because it’s bright street face and welcoming open door draw you in. They always greet you with a pleasant smile and efficient customer service.

I had a great experience at Playa Bowls on the Upper West Side! The customer service was top-notch—everyone was super friendly and welcoming. What really stood out was how patient the employees were. They took their time to walk me through the different ingredients, answered all my questions, and helped me customize my bowl without rushing me. You can tell they actually care about the customer experience. Definitely coming back!
