Food is just not good.
At some stage the manager came in and closed the lights to make it romantic when everyone had kids, strange.....

Dined here for New Years. The parmigiana was a bit chewy, but the focaccia, the pasta, and the service was incredible. There was a loud mouth few guys in the restaurant during our visit so that brought the vibe down a bit. The service was fast and friendly. Food was truly delicious. Would return again for sure!

Very rushed, plates moved as soon as put fork down, still eating. Didn't offer extra drinks. Felt like we were being rushed out.

Food was good, no doubt on that! The problem was, they included the tip on the bill, which usually I fine with it, but it was a 21% tip!!! We asked to split into 2 cards, and they were not really happy about either, honestly, just killed the whole experience for us.

Great pasta and chicken piccata and the wine was really good. A reasonably priced Italian-American neighbourhood restaurant with a TV at the bar, a loyal crowd and gregarious, welcoming hostess. I'd eat here again.

Stellar service, a delightful dining experience! There were 11 of us and as you might imagine we sampled quite a few dishes and all were excellent. I highly recommend any of the homemade pastas!! My personal favorites was the squid ink pasta with calamari. The tricolor salad was delicious as well. Great meatballs as an appetizer.

9/14/24 first time here and we will need to return! The GF wanted ricotta cheese cake and this place has it. So we sat outside and she got the slice that made her happy!
I'm hoping we can return soon to have a real meal!

Parking: It's deep in NYC.... Good luck

We ended up leaving as we didn't feel comfortable with the stuff. The hostess seems very unhappy and angry and unfriendly. We didn't feel welcome and left. She was running around, hit me and my chair several times without acknowledging it, removed the candle from our table and put it on another one, was impatient with us settling down. Not a huge deal, but didn't feel we would enjoy our dinner with angry, impatient and unhappy staff around.

Perfect meal. The meatballs were truly outstanding . We devoured them. Also loved the sauce. The focaccia and olive oil were great. I had and loved the vongole with black linguine. Thank you to the chef for being so accommodating. My sons had the pasta Nona special which we all tasted and loved enough to reorder next time. My husband ordered the chicken special which was layered with fontina, eggplant and mushrooms. Our favorite dish. Staff were kind, genuine, fun and very attentive. Great wine selection. Great value. We’ll definitely return.

My husband and I love this place. Everything on the menu is great. The meatballs are my favorite. Everything on the menu is just the best version on Italian American food.

Friendly staff, food average for Italian restaurants in America. I remind everyone that in Italy no one eats spaghetti (with a spoon and fork later) with meatballs except small children. A tourist invention.
Place with a lot of confusion, unbearable noise, absorbent panels recommended

Feels like home. The food is great, prices are fair and it's exactly what you'd want if you're looking for a good Italian spot.

This review is about an experience several months ago that I had been wanting to share. My boyfriend and I were originally seated in the partly covered backyard terrace, but we saw a rat running around above our table on the terrace covering and asked politely to be moved to the outdoor seating in front of the restaurant (not their fault imo, it’s NYC and outdoors, but just preferred not to sit there anymore if possible). They moved us, but I mention this because, either because of this (just a guess) or something else, a woman who seemed to be the owner or a manager started treating us noticeably differently from all the tables around us. For example she didn’t refill our water when she refilled all others’.

At the end when she brought the check, before we put our cards down or did or said anything, she told us “so you know, people usually add at least 20% as a tip”, in a not at all friendly tone. Didn’t hear her say that to anyone else.

The optimistic interpretation is that this was because she was unhappy about us asking to be moved, but honestly I was also the only nonwhite person around, so maybe she felt she should educate me about America… who knows honestly. We were extremely confused by the whole thing.

Not going back here. A shame because we live nearby and really wanted to have a good experience.

I’ll also say the food was just okay. The meatballs were above average.

It was a boiling hot night and we waited 20 minutes for the menu. It was too hot and I asked the owner to turn the air conditioning on.He was rude and condescending.
Too rude to go back ever.
