Not the best way to pack cupcakes people! If you're asking customers to pay close to $8.00 for a cupcake, you should invest in some boxes, and teach your staff how to package your items better! The staff was also in their own world, not friendly at all.
Coffee is excellent, and the place is cute but gets very hectic in the morning, and pastries are just ok. You can get a cup of coffee and sit in the courtyard for a lovely experience. They also sell some packed cookies and nuts if you are looking for edible souvenirs or just want to grab something for later.

It was ok. Not the best coffee shop ive been to but not the worst.Walking in and I could have sworn I heard a manager and a eorker make a comment about my friends and I (on whether we will buy anything). In case I misheard I ignored as I still wanted to try.Nothing to write home about. The regular coffee taste as if it has been sitting there. The espresso is not thr best. The milk is burned and not properly steamed for lattes. The cake is a bit bland and the fruit on top is a bit wilted.Honestly for the prices you can get better coffee in several places in manhattan.

$7+ for a single croissant that looks like it came from Walmart lol.
My experience is always top notch. Thank you Michael who checked us in and went above and beyond even when the lobby was getting busy. Housekeeping was always very accommodating and kept our place tidy. The bellmen had us laughing while we waited for our ride, one guy even pulled out a harmonica and played a few beats! I'll be coming back to stay again very soon!
What would have been the worst stay turned out to be one of the best, thanks to Eric S. the Overnight Manager! We were staying at the hotel for our annual summer NY stay to see family but for two nights in a row, our rooms were not cleaned. Throughout the week, my husband and I called housekeeping several times to ask that they come and help clean the room. We were assured that someone would come and tidy up the room. On our third night, we were shocked to see that our room was still not made up when returned from dinner. The General Manager was nowhere in sight (shocking, given peak season during a weekend) and none of the staff at the front desk were able to offer any explanation on what was going on with our (dirty) room and quite frankly, was not the most pleasant. Thankfully, Eric came to the rescue and really turned our stay around. To the Owners/Asset Managers - this man needs to be promoted! Because of him, we will be staying with Lotte every time we're in town & recommend to our friends and family.
We stayed at the Lotte Place in New York and what a great experience. Everyone from the front desk to the bellmen were totally great and friendly. It also in the middle of almost everything and a short walk to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall.

I chose the Palace as it's a great location and it's not often you go far wrong with 5*. It's hard to understand how it's earned the accolade and it definitely carries the price tag. The rooms are extremely dated, verging on tired. The bathroom reminds me of my walk up studio apartment as a student. 1 ply loo roll is indicative of the lack of luxury. You need to allow 15 minutes to get to your room if you're on the 30th floor as there is no express and you stop on every floor. There is no way of charging via USB, something you can do in any fast food joint. They can't/won't charge for you at reception. I am writing this from my room as the bar doesn't open until 5pm and the foyer is full (and hot as an oven). This is a small blessing as a martini goes for $35 inc tip. Sadly I can't have a coffee as there are no facilities. I'd happily settle for a beer but there isn't a mini bar. I wouldn't be writing this if the Palace was billed as a 3* hotel. I really don't understand it.
Best hotel in NYC. Jimm was the kindest and most helpful during our stay. He took care of everything we needed and was so nice. I wanted thank the Lotte hotel for taking care of us. I visited last year with my family and Jimm helped us and went above and beyond. Jimm is the reason I booked Lotte this year for my girls trip. He again went above and beyond for us. Thank you Jimm. Have a wonderful Christmas!
The Hotel Lotte Palace has a wonderful location, my room had a excellent view, amenities are excellent, bed so comfortable, pillows amazing, the size room was excellent, bathroom too, roomservice was excellent too
This is my third stay at the Lotte, and I had hoped that it had improved since last year, but I encountered a number of problems. We stayed in a two room suite for nine nights, and here is a recap. First, the many good points. The location in midtown is terrific, especially if you are going to the theater. The view from our suite was outstanding! Easy walking distance to Broadway, but far enough away you aren't in constant crowds. Even better access to the luxury shopping on 5th Avenue, and a pleasant walk to the park. Champagne on arrival! The hotel is housed in a glorious, historic building, with great dining and cocktail options. I especially like the Gold Bar, and the bartender was terrific! Our suite was very large, with comfy beds, and good Moulton Brown toiletries. We encountered many nice staff. The not-so-good. It is very clear that the hotel suffers from management and communication issues, and a lack of attention to detail. The rooms are looking a bit aged. I certainly would not consider it a 5 star hotel. Our suite had peeling wall paper, plumbing issues, the door bell did not work, and it appeared that some of the furniture featured in the advertising had been removed from the suite. The suite was also very barren - especially for a room that costs over $2000 per day. No glasses or cups. It did have a wine cooler and microwave, but the refrigerator had been removed, leaving a gaping hole in the cabinet with wires coming out. There is not mini-bar. I remembered from my last visit that they do not put coffee makers in the room (very bizarre for a hotel that bills itself the way they do), so I called in advance and asked they have one in the room. I was told they could not guarantee that (in my $2000 plus room) - and to ask when I checked in. (Ridiculous.) I did, and they delivered a nice Nespresso maker and two cups. However, for some reason every day they would remove the coffee cups and the sugar service, and we had to call down to get it replaced. Every day they would strip the room of cups, glasses, and coffee - and we later learned that room service and housekeeping do not communicate. We were instructed to deal with each separately. On our final night we hosted a party, ordering a couple thousand dollars worth of room service, and later that night when we returned they provided turn down, but had not cleaned the room. Housekeeping informed us that they do not communicate with room service, and it was our responsibility to deal with each on our own. We asked to discuss the situation with the manager in the morning, and were assured they would contact us, but we never heard from them. None of this would be acceptable in a 5 star hotel. Every staff member should be trained to work together to ensure a great experience for the guest. Management should be accessible and strive to provide the best possible experience. Bottom line - this is a beautiful hotel that need updating and love, and management committed to delivering a superlative experience.
We had the absolute best experience for our girls weekend here! Dan went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. He made our weekend trip a trip of a lifetime, with the best accommodations and recommendations for things in the area.
