While watching a morning TV talk show that I don't normally watch, I saw a segment featuring this restaurant. Since I knew we were going to The Met Opera and realizing this restaurant was within a 10 minute walk and we'd never been and it's Italian food, I thought let's go! We were not disappointed!! The entire staff was friendly and welcoming from the time we opened the door to the goodbyes when we left! The food was delicious, the portions were generous, my sangria was divine and the prices were reasonable! I saved it in my contacts for quick reference of dining options the next time we're in the city!

Horrible. Pastas are ridiculously overcooked, sauce has no taste. Eggplant was inedible and we sent it back. It was worst than airplane food. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.

What a find! We were searching for a new neighborhood Italian place, and we are hooked. Food was delicious, Maître d' (or maybe he's the owner?) is beyond charming and welcoming, great service, nice and affordable wine list, indoor dining wasn't loud. Loved it. We'll be back (a lot)!

Pomodoro is my husband's and my favorite restaurant in NYC. In every way it never disappoints us. The owner (Peter) is always there and he oversees everything. A great guy. Waiters have been there forever and they never ever say that they cannot do something if we have a specific request. Great chef.

We went here as we wanted a straight forward local Italian style meal with a good bottle of wine after a busy day sightseeing . We pre booked and were late arriving , the staff were welcoming and everything at first was going great. The other diners were mostly already eating. It then became apparent that the staff wanted us to hurry up, we had had a glass of Prosecco and we ordered some wine , we were then told the kitchen would soon close , by now it was about 830, we ordered and the food came incredibly quickly, the pizza was average, my meatballs pasta was nothing special. The staff were now talking loudly to each other , other diners had left, one staff member pushing his bicycle through the restaurant another running through to the kitchen having his jokes with the other it really was like we weren't there. In fact, when we wanted to pay we struggled to get their attention . Disappointing.

What a great find. Based on the yelp reviews, we gave this place a try and no regrets. We with our two young daughters before the crowds and they seated us with no issues. The staff, waiters, and owner were so nice and accommodating with the kids. The dishes and service were so good. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful relaxing lunch. Service was so gracious and accommodating. We felt like family. Food was delicious! Will be back!Dietary restrictions: Everything made to order, so they made everything non-dairy.

I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was expensive and my food was barely edible. I left hungry and very disappointed. I should have known - we were the only people eating there for lunch.

I have dined there with a group multiple times. Service was fast and attentive. Restaurant offers the option of both pasta and non-pasta entrees which really broadens the offerings. Food was hot, delicious and well presented—see Included photos of the entrees. The tartufo ice cream dessert is the best of its kind among Italian restaurants in NYC.

My favorite in the neighborhood. Fantastic service and the blueberry martini is truly the best in the city.

My sister and I were Jonesing for veal parmesan after an afternoon of museum-going and happened across this restaurant. As I can't get a decent veal parmesan in my neighborhood, Park Slope, I was looking forward to our dinner. The orders when they came were quite large and I was hopeful. However the veal wasn't particularly tasty and the sauce was bland, lacking the rich flavorfulness of a red sauce that I expected. Filling but hardly worth the price. I should note that the atmosphere was nice, as were the staff. Perhaps it was too much to expect the Holy Grail of veal parmesans but, sad to say, this wasn't even close. I shall continue my quest.

We have beencome regulars at this restaurant. The staff and service is consistently excellent. We enjoy every meal we have. I often eggplant& shrimp parmigan no breading. They accommodate. All you have to do is ask. Last night i had asparagus Parmigan ( not on menu). The wine pour is nice. ( my favorite pinot noir ) Our friends and family always enjoy it as well. This is just a really great neighborhood restaurant .Enjoy

Our waiter was exceptionally helpful. He told us what specials were available on Sunday. He cooperated with our request for separate checks - and there were six of us. I have been at the restaurant for years but my friends, for whom it was a first time, want to return.

We hadn't been to Pomodoro in several years but were thrilled to find the quality of the food, service, and ambiance as good as ever. The space remains warm and cozy, while service is friendly and attentive. They still bring their delicious focaccia and garlic olive oil, which is much appreciated and does not go unnoticed in a time when fewer and fewer places bring complimentary bread. The menu is still extensive and pasta portions huge.

The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is DELICIOUS. THE WAIT staff goes out of their way to make one comfortable. It's my go-to Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. I highly recommend.
