I love Portale. It's one of my favorite Italian spots in the city. My previous boss used to work here, and told me about it. Staff is very kind. They always take very good care of me. The dishes are delicious all around, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu but the best would be the Mafadini and the Lumache (my personal favorite). Their olive oil cake is really great. Their wines are amazing as well. This is one of my Mom's favorite restaurants when she comes to town.

The entire experience was amazing from the flavor packed food to the spot on service. My wife and I had a memorable experience for her birthday! The butternut squash ravioli was the best we’ve ever had, along the fruit di mare appetizer and our entrees (branzino and duck breast) were fantastic. The wines also paired very nicely with the entrees.
The grilled octopus is absolutely amazing! I've been here twice and both times it was perfectly prepared. Each dish we had was made fresh and full of flavor. The service is outstanding! Highly recommended!!

Each time I visit, they never disappoint. The food is great, especially the ravioli, which is my favorite so far. The sauce on the filet mignon was a bit too salty, but still tasty. And the service, especially from our server Jeffery, was amazing. His excellent service definitely elevated our experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. We ordered the Focaccia and Polpette to start and they were excellent; not too filling, but not too small either. For our main course, we ordered the Risotto and the Lumache which were absolutely incredible, and the portions were very generous. All of the staff was attentive, especially Aaron, one of the GMs who came to check on us periodically. We hope to dine here again when we return to NYC! 10/10
