The ricotta meatballs were a standout, warm, tender, and paired perfectly with the creamy sauce. As for the pastas, both the Maine lobster pasta and the Bolognese Bianco pasta were superbly executed, with perfectly cooked pasta and flavorful sauces that left me thoroughly satisfied. We had two desserts. The Panna Cotta was a standout, with its creamy texture, and I particularly loved the chocolate cover on top. However, the Torta di Olio was less to my liking, as it tasted more like a lemon cake and was too sweet for my palate.
Returning to Portale after some time away was a delightful experience, made even more special by the warm welcome and recognition of our absence. To our surprise and delight, our favorite bottle of wine from the Etna region was presented without us needing to request it—a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the evening ahead.Now, let's talk about the food. Food is good highlighted by the Octopus and meatballs. Closes very early on weekdays…About 9:30 we felt they were rushing us and the few other tables remaining. So, good place, but not great.
