Porter House Bar and Grill

Again another absolutely wonderful dining experience at Porter House. This is a must visit eatery especially for special occasions. Did not disappoint!!

We had a lovely celebration for my mom's 80th. The waitress was so accommodating and knowledgeable to help us all get the best options.

Service is outstanding. The entire waitstaff is very professional. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were delicious.

Porterhouse is fantastic! We love it there and always have great food and great service! They do a fantastic job of taking care of everything you need. They have an extensive wine list. The food is always served hot and every meal is delicious. Depending on where you sit determines the noise level. I think the outer edges are probably a little quieter than the floor but we were on the floor last night and had no issues with communication. The waitstaff does not miss a thing and we actually have a few favorites Joe and Arthur. The manager Tim Brown checks in on everyone and keeps things ship shape. Love it!

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Such a beautiful view. Will definitely go back!

It was bound to happen eventually. Unfortunately all premium restaurants seem to be dropping their level of quality and service. Our server struggled to remember things that we initally ordered and had to remind him twice. Ordered a porterhouse that was not edible; was tough and had a lot of connective tissue. Server left steak on the table the remainder of the meal after we requested it be removed. It was a regular place for us in the City, but it will be a while before we return.

Perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon lunch. We had read about the prix-fixe lunch via Ruth Reichl. If you don't know who she is, please look it up. It was rainy. We were seated overlooking Central Park. Had a martini , a Bloody Mary bolognese pasta, soup, shrimp And steak frites. Decadent. Enjoyed every moment /morsel

Unfortunately my experience was not very pleasurable. I was celebrating my wife's birthday and requested a window seat. It was noted that we were celebrating a birthday. We were not seated where requested, bread was cold and butter was frozen. Service was not up to par for a top tier restaurant.

Porter House is my go-to place for lunch and special dinners. And my guests are always suitably impressed. I've been dining at Porter House, since they opened. The food is delicious, wait staff friendly and obliging, location and ambience ideal.

Porter House is our favorite pre-jazz restaurant. Tim is a class manager and our server Donna was so nice and helpful in recommending a terrific white wine. We both had the Salmon which was fabulous. The creme brulee dessert was exquisite.

The Park View Prix-Fixe Lunch menu is "Restaurant Week" year round . . . EXCELLENT VALUE and QUALITY. Staff is wonderfully attentive, personable, professional and proactive anticipating table needs while never hovering. The room is lovely and the window views of Columbus Circle are PURE New York. Kudos to Porter House Bar and Grill!
