Usually takes 30-60 minutes from placing my order on the app to actually getting it. There have been times where I've ordered, walked over half an hour later, stood there for 20 minutes and left because I had a meeting, only to return an hour after that to finally eat lunch. I don't blame the staff though; clearly the management is checked out. Believe it or not, you actually do need more than 3 people working to handle 300 orders/hour at noon on a workday in midtown. I'm sure the management will claim they are understaffed and there's nothing they can do. Try some hiring incentives - and, if your main problem is turnover, then consider the fact that if you just put more people on the floor all the time your staff would stop quitting. What a joke, hire more staff. Also, since you've stopped putting the online orders on the shelf for quick pickup, it often takes upwards of 20 minutes just to get someone's attention to hand me the food that has already been made. If you can't trust the public, hire someone else to have them stand at the mobile pickup shelf and validate orders.

This location is conveniently located next to Grand Central Station. The staff worked in a professional manner and the food as always was quite satisfying. It can get crowded here during lunch hour therefore be ready to order take out.

Potbelly! Honestly, it is like a Quiznos but better. The bread is toasty and delicious, the deli meats are also good, the variety of fixings are on point. Plus, the service is friendly and pretty quick. I also feel comfortable eating there as there is usually seating if you get there early enough for lunch. I understand that this is a franchise but it appears to be one of the better ones out there in NYC when it comes to Potbelly's. I recommend this Potbelly's spot as a pretty good sandwich spot for lunch.

This store is SLOW. I order for pickup because I am on a time crunch and expect my order to be ready to pick up by the time it says on the app. I ordered one item. I showed up a couple of minutes after the be ready by time and my order was not ready. I ended up waiting 20 minutes AFTER my pickup time to get my order. This is unacceptable because i expect my order to be ready by the time i was told. I do not have time to wait around for my order to be assembled after i arrive at the store. In fact, it wouldve probably been faster to get on line instead of order for pickup which is ridiculous because thats the whole point of ordering for pickup. Please either fix your pickup times or follow them more closely as 20 minutes after pickup time is absolutely not being considerate of my time.

Do not order from this place for pick up on their potbelly app or any other food app.I order pickup for 1 sandwich at 12:30. It was stated for pick at 12:45. I went to the store at 12:40. I waited and waited. 20 mins passed, no one called my name at the pick up counter. Or cared about me. A whole bunch of people were waiting for pick up and not one employee bother help anyone or even dare to make eye contact with the pick up customers. They do their best to avoid us pick up customers. At 1:08, I rushed to the lady at the regular checkout line and demanded to cancel my lunch order. She said she needed the manager to cancel the order and by some miracle the manager said I have your order ready on my hand, are your sure you want to cancel? What options do I have to but to humiliate myself and take the sandwich.Wow. 45 minutes for sandwich and I’m sure if I didn’t get loud, they won’t even have it.I’m an office worker and during not busy season I have 1 hour for lunch and this store made me wait 45 minute for 1 single sandwich. This is not acceptable. I can’t imagine during busy time when I have 30 mins for lunch. On top of it, the sandwich are average and the condiment is only mayo, mustard, and oil. Super basic. The people working there are super depresse and you can tell.I only come here because after there is a seating area and after I eat I can use the restroom to freshen up before heading back to office.I’m not going to order from this place anytime soon during my lunch time.

Got A Wreck today, on it were three very small slices of coldcuts. Three. Zero substance whatsoever. Got a refund. I stopped going to Subway two decades ago once they started doing this. Now Potbelly doing the exact same thing. Beware if you buy from here, it’ll be basically just bread and any free additions/condiments.

Keep in mind I'm rating this on its own scale, 4 stars for the locations execution of their own sandwiches... it's better than subway for sure, it's better than some delis and not much worse than others and here's why:My new fix is potbelly, it's in line with NYC prong but you'll honestly get a sandwich made almost the same every time, you won't get charged a dollar for every topping you want and can customize the sandwich to your liking, earn points and freebies... the bread isn't like a New York deli but it's a step above subway even if all they have is white or wheat... they'll scoop it like a bagel too.I dnnoCall me crazy but I enjoy these sandwiches; my go to is the steakhouse and the Sicilian Mmmmm

I had a girl I believe her name is Jessica and she was nasty when I told her how I wanted my sandwiches, I'm not eating there anymore and will let everyone I know not to go

Put in a last minute catering order for an impromptu work lunch 10 mins ahead of time, during peak lunch hours, and the associate who I spoke with on the phone was not only patient & kind with my detailed order, but the staff completed the order in less than 20 mins! ?? It’s hard finding customer service like this in NYC, so thanks a million to such incredible staff!

Descent sandwich but the ever shrinking size has left me feeling flat. Aldo, this particular location is always out of iced tea. Work on that please. 2 month boycott. I will reassess after.

I was working in Midtown the other day and some of my colleagues and I were looking for lunch. There's no shortage of quick service spots in the area, and the more I work around here the more I am getting familiar with the offerings. One of my colleagues suggested Potbelly, and since it was a minute since I've had it, I thought it was great idea. Potbelly has a considerable amount of space, especially for a quick service spot in Manhattan - the high ceilings at this location helps to make everything feel more open. As suggested by the name, sandwiches are the star of the menu - though they also have a selection of salads, soups, and sides. I noticed they had a pick-your-pair option which allowed one to mix and match a salad, soup and/or a sandwich. I decided to go with that, and chose the chicken club sandwich and vegetable soup. The sandwich was good - it was toasted by default, and all the components worked well together. It's worth noting that this was the "skinny" version of the sandwich, which I'm assuming meant they don't put as much filling as a regular order. I think that if you choose the pick-a-pair option you need to get the sandwich skinny style, but it's always an option regardless. For lunch, this was just enough. The soup was good too, tasty with a generous amount of vegetables. Service was fast and friendly, and overall I had a good experience at Potbelly. I wouldn't say this is memorable or destination-worthy fare - it's more along the lines of Panera or Quiznos. However, if you're in the mood for a sandwich and are in the area, I wouldn't pass them up.

Poorly run. I always wait 15+ minutes for my salad to be made regardless of ordering online or in person. Quality is consistent with other locations.

Great little hidden gem that seems almost private and exclusive. The food is great, the staff were really nice and there was ample seating. The surfaces were clean but a few of the stool seats were broken but there are booth seats as well. It was nice to have an uninterrupted, peaceful lunch with my husband here, right off the beaten path of Lexington ave.Vegetarian options: Many non-meat optionsKid-friendliness: Options for children on the menu and seating areas.
