I recently visited the Potbelly location in Union Square, and unfortunately, the customer service was non existent. The staff seemed disengaged and unwelcoming—no greetings, no smiles, and no effort to create a positive experience. I felt like I was being rushed through the line rather than treated like a customer.

The food was decent, which makes the lack of basic courtesy from the staff even more disappointing. A friendly attitude and some simple professionalism would go a long way in improving this location.

I hope management takes the time to address the service issues here.

Haven't even tried them yet, but every time I try and go they're always closed. Employee says that they're only accepting online orders...waste of time.

The lady who took my order damn near three years ago was rude asl and I deadass never came back. Y'all got it, but the food slapped though. I would come back and risk getting verbally harassed again just for a crumb of that Italian sub.

17 dollars for a 7" tiny sandwich. This place is a rip off. Food was OK and very little in the sandwich, but for that money, it should have been amazing.

I’ve had lunch here three times recently. Not only is the food good but the service couldn’t be any faster and the manager goes above and beyond. This is a busy lunch spot with a pretty in-depth menu. Despite this challenge there’s a team of around 8 staff working hard to make everyone’s lunch. My sandwich was ready in 2 minutes (the salads do take a little longer fyi). Everything has been fresh and tasty and reasonable priced especially for the neighborhood.

Literally writing this as a I walk out the store, the customer service is abysmal. I work in the area and frequent fairly regularly. Not that it’s ever been great but today was especially not great. First off the staff barely ever lift their head and look at you to greet you as if they pretend you’re not their you’ll leave and they won’t have to help you. This evening I walked in about 30 minutes before closing and stood in front of the gentlemen making the sandwich’s. After a minute or 2 he looked up and said oh. I said hi can I get such and such sandwich advised on the size and bread. He stares at me blankly. The women who later advised she was training him yelled at me with an attitude saying what size and what type of bread the sign is over there. I said the size and type I just told him and she says with an attitude well he didn’t hear you. I proceed I tell her she doesn’t need to be so aggressive as I repeat my order. Please invest in some customer service training…. I spend my hard earned money at the establishment I’d like to at the very least be acknowledged and not be yelled at when placing an order as if I’m being an inconvenience.

The staff at this location are so rude and it makes me not want to ever come in. They are less than helpful and have made remarks and scoffs every time I come in. I will not recommend this location to anyone and will go out of my way to go to another location.
