The food was very good but the service could use some improvement. The servers were very busy about clearing plates when we were still eating. One server reached across the table in front of our faces while we were serving ourselves. It was also pretty noisy.
I had a great experience at Pranakhon with a large group. We were seated on the 2nd floor in a booth. It was cozy with cute decorations. I ordered the kuh gum cocktail, which had ginger and lime in it. It tasted like a more refreshing moscow mule. For my entree, I ordered khao yum. It was a flavorful dish with numerous ingredients and spices. When combined together, every bite offered new flavors. The portions are also quite large here, so I had leftovers.
It was perfect. Every dish was delicious and staff was very very sweet to us. They enthusiastically brought out a birthday dessert for our occasion.
Great drink to try -jackfruit orange slush, starter-curry chicken pancake sauce, entree- short rib massaman curry. Great service, thank you!
Food was great. My only complaint is that the waiters were always around us removing our plates as we were finish eating which made us feel rushed. I'll think twice before coming back to this restaurant.
thank you for accommodating us. we our friends came in 30mins late. thank you for your patience
Wonderful restaurant with a fun, energetic and cool vibe. We ordered only vegetarian dishes (fried taro, kui chai, mussaman curry, red curry and the durian with sweet rice. The curries were a little on the west side but I would recommend every dish anyway. The food was delicious. The service was excellent, attentive and responsive. We'll definitely go back!
We had a reservation for 7:30 pm, but our schedule changed and we ended up arriving around 5:00. The staff was incredibly accommodating and immediately helped arrange a table for us—no hesitation, no attitude, just genuinely helpful. Service throughout the meal was professional, responsive, and super informative. They gave thoughtful recommendations on different dishes and checked in at the right moments without being overbearing. Portion sizes were very generous. We had 6 adults and 1 kid, ordered only 6 dishes plus a few bowls of rice to share, and it was more than enough for everyone. We were pleasantly surprised by how filling everything was. Even better, the total came out to $185 including the automatically added 20% gratuity, which is honestly a great value for New York City. Solid food, excellent service, and very fair pricing—would absolutely come back.
The food taste so delicious, and very big portion. Also the waiters are nice and friendly. My friend drop a fork on the floor. He pick it up, and give another new one to my friend quickly. Thank you for giving us a wonderful evening time.
Crab fried rice was great, especially with the sauce. We got the large to share between 5 people and it was a ton of food. Highly recommend the krapow pla (fried branzino with vegetables), which I got for my entree. We all got something different and everyone was very happy with their food. Easily one of the best Thai places I've been to in the city.

Service was great; we wanted a quick meal and were in-and-out in under an hour. Green curry was great; tofu and salad specials were less remarkable. Glad we tried.
We had to wait 20 mins after our reservation time for a table. When out entrées arrived, we felt very rushed. Server kept on asking if we were done with each dish so she could take them away. The food had great flavors except the green curry was bland. Our favorite was the fried fish with the mango salad. The short ribs had a nice balance of five spice, surprise pieces of lotus seeds but the sauce was very rich. This was our second time dining at this restaurant. We will return but not anytime soon.
Our Tom Yum Soup was barely lukewarm, our duck dish was supposed to be medium spicy but it was high, and our club soda was flat. They said they use cans of soda but clearly they gave us the second half of a can that had been open b/c it was flat. They argued with us a little about it as if they didn't believe us that it was flat. Finally brought us a fresh one and it was clear the difference. Also, they didn't give us the whole can. Instead they charged us another $6 for a refill, essentially charging us $12 for a can of club soda. If you don't have soda out of the gun then it would be fair to charge for each can rather than refill. Essentially, things seemed overpriced for the value and taste. We've had much much better Thai food in NYC and certainly better dining experiences in general. Will not be returning.
Pretty disappointing—particularly given its Michelin rating. While the flavors were good, the crispy duck was more like chewy duck. The prices were astronomical, particularly for the serving size. First and last time.
We absolutely loved everything we had at Pranakhon. It felt very homely and there was a perfect balance of flavors in all the dishes that we ordered. We will definitely visiting again.
