Cleanliness is an issue. Great selection of snacks, and they are open 24X7, so they are convenient and a staple for the neighborhood. The owner needs to seriously look at their food safety issue. I've seen moldy food in their salad area, and in their fresh fruit bin for smoothies. Their fry cook doesn't seem to care about where he rests tongs while cooking. Food safety matters, and I'm a fan of supporting a neighborhood spot, just not at the expense of my health....
Prestige Cafe & Deli is so good - this is a great spot to grab a quick bite in the neighborhood of Washington Heights!! It's located on Fort Washington Avenue in NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, so it's the perfect spot for a quick snack run (especially for the hospital employees). This place is clean + well-kept, and the staff are very helpful!
We’re lucky to live steps away from Prestige, but if you’re anywhere near the hospital or the Armory, this is the deli for you! The food selection and sandwiches are great, and the workers there have been generous and caring with my three-year old for the better part of his life at this point. He’s always asking to go to the deli for a lollipop and dinosaur juice — the green monster smoothie! While these are great, I think he’s happiest of all to see the people who work...
