My review is for the location on Third Avenue between 53rd and 54th Streets. I wanted a snack so I bought the very small mango granola dessert in a cup. The price was $7.00 plus tax, ridiculously over priced. I've been going here periodically over the years since the store is close to my home. At one time, the prices were reasonable, but now every item is way over what one would expect to pay. I won't be returning to the store for that reason.

I stopped buying cold sandwiches (Tuna & Cucumber) from Pret in New York City because they started giving me GI discomfort (bloating etc.). A few weeks ago I was in London, UK and I had a number of times the same sandwiches from the London Pret stores without any GI issues. I compared their bread ingredients between USA and UK and, sure enough, their sandwich bread in the USA contains food enzymes (xylanase etc.).

Very efficient pret, similar to my experience in London shops. They are extra nice at this shop and allow you to use the bathroom and might give you a cookie with your coffee if you go there right before they close.

Used to be my go-to sandwich shop when I was in college. Food was surprisingly good for the price, always fresh. Would go back again but I have a job now and no longer live in Manhattan. Sometimes things are just better that way.

To eat I had a ham and cheese courassant and it was delicious and I also had a fruit juice from the forest and it was delicious and the banyo was very clean that is very important.

Went to buy a soup from here got to the counter and it had mould and food down the side of it i alerted the manager who proceeded to ignore
So I just left if they can't keep the front counter clean god knows what the kitchen will look like ..

The place is certainly not transcendental, but as a fast food it is not bad. Personalized sandwiches, wide choice and courteous staff. "American" prices but all in all in the norm
