We stopped by to get some matcha and enjoy our New York trip. We ordered two Matcha Lattes and went to sit in the back area where there are benches and tables. I laid down for a moment to stretch my back and was about to get up when an employee told us that the seating area would be closing in 20 minutes, at 3 PM. I found it strange that the seating section would close while the store was still open, but I didn’t argue and simply said “okay.”

About 10 minutes later, another staff member came over and pressured us to leave, seemingly just because I had briefly laid down on the bench. That wasn’t even the main issue—the bigger problem was the attitude. There was a rude lady with a distinctive haircut who kept rolling her eyes, and I noticed many other reviews mentioning her as well.

I’m sharing this experience so management is aware. If customers are not going to be treated with respect, it raises the question of why the staff is working in customer service at all. Management should address this behavior immediately.

I’ve been to Pret a Manger in different countries, and I have to say they’ve done a great job maintaining consistent food quality across locations. I’ve never been disappointed — always a reliable spot for a good meal.

Very open and clean atmosphere. Comfortable to sit and catch a quick bite, or relax and do some business. The food and drink selection are great. It was my birthday, I stopped in for a chai latter and one of the managers gifted me a sandwich!

They have an impressive $4 offer between 3-6pm so was the right time for some matcha.

I was just about a minute late but the lady behind the counter accommodated the offer mainly cos of the queue.

I won't say the matcha is great but you get a bit if a taste. Pretty ok for the buck you're paying.

Tell me how I publicly got called cheap for the tip by the female cashier while buying a grab n go sandwich. Rushing to work, didn’t think too much what I clicked. Purchase was two seconds. Just because I work on Madison ave don’t mean I got Madison Avenue money girl. I’m from a whole other borough. Chill it’s rough out here.

The sandwiches are great. The employees friendly. But, *please* fix the to-go issue. I’ve placed a number of to-go orders on the app, and virtually every time, I end up getting the items myself, waiting in line, then having to prove I pre-ordered and pre-paid via the app.

I was in Manhattan for a business expo and decided to stop by Pret A Manger for a hot chocolate. I’m a regular customer at several locations throughout the city, and this visit was just as pleasant as always. The customer service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. It’s not the kind of place where you feel out of place—everyone is attentive and makes you feel right at home.
