Bro their cashier was trying to clean the card reader while my card was still in and happened to just hit the tip button. Usual suspect. If you know you know.

The driest ham and cheese sandwich ever. I asked for mayo or mustard- was simply told no. How do you run a sandwich shop without it.

The service here needs some work. I strongly suggest asking customers for their names at the register when taking orders for coffees/matcha so that way customers aren’t grabbing someone else’s order. If an employee is yelling out “iced matcha with oatmilk” there is no way to differentiate whose order it is and we’re all grabbing the same drink since it’s a popular order. There’s been many occasions where someone took my drink and vice versa, even though I ordered before them. Also, the line can be a little chaotic as there is no real structure and you can’t always tell who is on line and whose waiting for there drink.

I’m writing this review specifically because of the customer service I experienced. I’m usually pretty understanding, especially with young workers—because dealing with the public in NYC can be exhausting. But today I stopped in to grab a small soup ($7.95), and the cashier charged me for a large.

I only noticed because his attitude was so dismissive. Instead of bagging my soup, he just left the bag on the counter for me to do it myself. That’s not typical for Pret, they usually bag my items and toss in cutlery without me asking. This guy, though, was completely uninterested. Not a crime, but it was irritating, and his whole vibe made me pay closer attention.

I went back to check the price on the soup, came back to him, and let him know he overcharged me. He acted confused, even took the soup out of the bag to examine it again, and I said that maybe I was mistaken unless tax somehow made up the difference, but it shouldn’t. He said, there is tax on everything even bananas. (I know this, but I meant to explain the charge). He finally checked his register, confirmed the mistake, and refunded me.

I would’ve let it go, but something tells me this wasn’t an accident.
People, pay attention to your purchases!

About $5 for an old barely warm coffee with a side of attitude from the cashier/manager on Sunday. No thanks there are more options around lol.

While the food continues to be reliably good and space is clean and comfortable, the service has deteriorated. This place used to have courteous and prompt staff and good coffee. Now, the staff is distracted in their chatting, also rough with customers, and the coffee is horrible, very tasteless. Coffee now tastes like the worst diner coffee you'll ever have! This Pret used to be my morning stop on the way to work but, unfortunately, I'm heading elsewhere for my coffee and breakfast.

I love this Pret location so much. It is honestly the customer service and lovely attitude of the staff here that convinced me to get a Pret membership (though I am sad tapping my QR code doesn’t let me tip them). Every single person I’ve interacted with at this location has been so spectacularly kind and competent. They are quick yet attentive and I look forward to my latte every morning (and my boss looks forward to her chai too she says). Thank you guys for making my work days a little more enjoyable.

I found this place closed at 7pm, 30 mins before it should close.

Literally the worst strawberry Matcha I think I’ve ever had, if there is any Matcha in here then it’s severely diluted.
Basically milk with a splash of Matcha water.
