We are a family of 6, 4 boys. The table wasn't ready when we got to the restaurant. The waiter was rude and questioned everything we ordered for our kids saying, are you sure? They never refilled water or even came by to check. Our youngest meal came out incorrect, the 2 steaks were raw even though we asked for medium well. At the end he apologized but didn't know why. We were also charge $75 for service charge since we are a party of 6. It was expensive and mediocre at best. Find another spot as it was terrible.

The food was delicious. The best part is that we had visited after being nearly crushed in a crowd around Rockefeller and they were able to seat us upstairs by ourselves so we could decompress. It was amazing and so needed. Thank you.

I visited Prime Catch NYC twice with my family. On our first visit, both the food and the service were good. Unfortunately, the second visit was extremely disappointing.
The woman who attended our table was kind and polite, although she made a mistake with our order. We repeatedly asked for bread, which took a very long time to arrive. We also specifically requested a boneless ribeye, but were served the ribeye with the bone instead.
I went to raise the issue with the first staff member I saw, who happened to be a man. He initially apologised, but then repeatedly told me that the mistake was my fault for not realising it earlier. During the conversation, I repeatedly said “may I speak”, but he ignored me five times and continued speaking over me. He showed no concern at all and responded in a passive-aggressive and rude manner, stating that nothing could be done.
On top of this, the food quality was poor compared to our first visit. I was very disappointed with both the food and the service, which felt inconsistent and irregular. While our server herself was kind, the overall experience fell far below expectations, and for this reason, I do not recommend the restaurant.

Excellent service and food. Both the bartender, Alex, and waiter, Eni, were great. Highly recommend.
Food was acceptable but nothing special. The oysters were advertised at $1.75 (see photos) yet billed at $5 each (see the invoice), which is unacceptable. The 20% service charge is imposed rather than discretionary, unlike standard practice. Overall, a complete rip-off.

Sorry but Prime Catch did not hit the mark. Saturday night dinner (5:30pm) was a disappointment. Forget Happy Hour... drinks, oysters and bacon were terrible...no taste whatsoever. Bartender Alex was attentive. He explained the so-called Happy Hour and was quick to replace the disappointing HH drinks.
